In tonight's two-hour special, Addison (Kate Walsh) takes leave from Seattle Grace and makes a road trip to L.A. to visit some old friends from med school, while the rest of the surgical team struggles with its own set of problems as the season finale quickly approaches.

seriously i hate this spin-off issue, i personally think its a threat on our dear Grey's. However, the damage has already been done which is just too bad. Merder all the way!!!

i heard that the bar in grey's actually shot in a real bar in the doubletree hotel:

can anyone confirm that, i say that becuase i think its in the outdoors shots in this weeks episode.

We are hating this spin-off crap. If this actually flies we're going to be irate. There are too many has-been actors in this new episode bringing in all their life stories. We want more George, Izzie, Christina, Callie... and even Burke! Boo ABC!

At the halfway mark now. Not wild about it. Don't like the jumping back and forth. Feel like there's way too much crammed here.

I'm not enjoying this spin-off stuff in the least. I find it incredibly annoying and if I didn't love the SGH scenes so much, I'd turn it off completely. It seems to be taking up the whole show! And I don't like the introduction of all these characters and their life stories either. OBNOXIOUS! It better not take off, or I'm going to be pissed.

The storylines and the writing of the spin-off appear to be pandering to the Grey's Anatomy demographic in too obvious a manner. The surfer scene was downright laughable. The character development has been rushed in a clumsy way. Some of these actors (Tim Daly, Amy Brenneman, Taye Diggs) are great, but I'd rather see them guesting on Grey's than on this separate show. All around, this show at this stage seems weak. Bring back more Grey's!

Seriously, this is horrible. If they are going to do a spin off series just do it, but don't shove it down our throats during Greys. ABC advertised "a Grey's you don't want to miss", well the show is still on and I am sitting at my computer. What does that tell you ABC!

OK....this is by far the WORST episode of Grey's Anatomy! I wish they had put the whole Madison thing in the hour at the end so I could go to bed early! I have even gotten on the computer.....and I NEVER do anything during this show!

O.K., and what is with the friggin' elevator crap. This show is just painful. They are giving us about two minute segments of Greys and then torturing us with Addy talking to an imaginary person in an elevator. I totally agree - JUMPING THE SHARK!

GREY'S TONIGHT WAS THE GAYEST SHOW I'V EVER SEEN!!!!!!! TERRIBLE!!!!!! Spent too much time in LA and why did the step mom. I swear if derrick and meridth break up i will be pissed!!!! But tonight was aweful!!!! Tonight was bad bad bad.

The writers do hate Meredith. And what's with McDreamy hitting on other women in the preview????????!!!!!!! NOOOOOOO!!!!! Poor, poor Meredith!!!! The spin-off isn't gonna happen...although, I wouldn't mind if McElevator showed up at Seattle Grace....

Top 5 reasons why this episode seriously sucked:
1. The spin-off incorporated into the same episode of Grey's is horrible. It would've been so much better if they would've had an episode of Grey's and then ended it with Addison leaving, then had the second hour of it be the spin-off. Then we could've all turned off our tvs instead of being forced to watch it.
2. Killing off Susan? Seriously? Why do the writers feel it necessary to kill off BOTH of Meredith's moms within two months?! Why do they hate her so much and feel it necessary to put her through all of this? Just when we all thought that Meredith was done being dark and twisty, poor thing. I was actually starting to like Susan too.
3. Derek and Meredith? Excuse me. I thought that they had this whole thing figured out. They talked, she told him not to give up on her and he seemed like he agreed. Then in the preview for next week it shows him at the bar accepting a drink from some random hoe?! If Derek and Meredith aren't back by the end of the season, I'm going to lose interest completely. How much shit can they put Meredith through in one season? Drowning, losing her mother, losing her step-mother and losing Derek?! Lay off!
4. Izzie and George. George needs to grow some balls and tell Callie that he cheated on her. Seriously. It's unfair to both Callie and Izzie that he's making out with Izzie in the elevator one minute and then going home with Callie the next. They are drawing this thing out way too much. And we all know he's not ACTUALLY transferring to Mercy West so they need to drop that whole storyline too.
5. Bang wedding. Burke needs to get over the whole big wedding thing and decide if Cristina really is who he wants to be with. I'd like to see the wedding go through but I'm not so sure at this point.
Basically, this was probably the worst episode of Grey's I've ever seen. Shondra better step it up in the next couple episodes or she's going to lose quite a fan base.

This season is about over. Maybe they can recover and get back their drive in season 4. Sometimes I think they need to go back to the original nine. I just don't know.

Okay, my worst fears have been realized....This is nothing but greed taking over good sense and ruining what WAS the best show on TV. The spinoff is TERRIBLE. I could not care less about those goofy LA a-holes, and there was some major false advertising going on since this show was not about Grey's or Seattle Grace, other than to try and sucker us into watching it. I too went to my computer more than once during the show........because there were WAY too many commercials, the characters are not developed enough and besides they are not LIKABLE in any way shape or form, and they took the best role model for a woman (besides Bailey) and turned her into a morose, idiotic, goof, with a ticking biological clock and no self-control. Besides, the "Man Candy" was not that tasty--For my money I'd stay at SGH and work on Alex or even McSteamy, or heck, throw down with the Chief (at least there's a brain between those two ears, which is more than one could say about the surfer-dude-receptionist, the sex-addicted-widower-acupuncturist, and the therapist-slash-internet whore. Shonda must think we are all STOOPID. I'm on my last nerve with this show---I think they have finally succeeded in RUINING the ONLY SHOW I USED TO LIKE TO WATCH. Next week looks even worse.

The basis of this show was always mcdreamy and meredith, first she had him, and didn't really want him, then when she wanted him his wife shows up, now she finally has him...and what do they do...they screw it up! I was just watching the season 2 finale this morning and it was real grey's...eveything is so confusing and weird now...i totally want george and izzie to make it, but mcdreamy and meredith HAVE to stay together, what is the show going to be like without them, and the end of the preview with the chief and someone laying on the floor...who could it be? Dr. Bailey maybe?? All I can say is...this new show blows and we need to get back to real greys!!!

I didn't really like this episode. It was too slow and too confusing. Bring Taye Diggs to Greys. Leave Addison on Greys.
