I am really angry with Derek. He needs to understand that he may NOT be able to help Meredith with every little problem. This is a family issue, this is something that she wants to deal with on her own. Her friends are MAKING it their business. They are FIGHTING to be by her side. If Derek really wanted to make it a point to take care of her, he would MAKE time and FIGHT to get her attention. She's in a different place right now. I wish he would understand instead of fly off the handle and think about banging another girl. If he does it, I hope Meredith doesn't give him the time of day. Apparently it's true, once a cheater, always a cheater... DON'T BECOME A STATISTIC DEREK!!!

i agree with christy...her friends made it clear to her that they weren't going to let her shut them out. they forced their presence on her. Derek took it personally and thought she was dissing him and reverting back to her old ways instead of doing the same thing her friends were doing. he didn't even go to them to find out whats wrong. he just needs to stop being such a flippin baby and go to her...and if he touches the bar skank then i hope meredith kicks him where it counts

I wounder why or what possesd Shonda of all people to even thing of changing Mcdreamy's character. I mean he was once upon a time the dream man of every girl, but now his character is seriously annoying me, its like he doesnt know who he really is anymore. Is he kind of having a mid life crisis or something? SERIOUSLY!!!?? if he GOD FORBID BAD THINGS ever sleeps with the Mcbarwhore, then i think mer will be better off without him no matter her problems (he is not being helpful anyway). Richard of all people should have realised by now that, that girl needs really serious counciling.

Hey Hafsa If McDreamy didn`t love meredith anymore he would of gone with McBar girl. I hope Meredith finnally lets in bcause if not she will loose him & niether of us wants that. I remember earlier in the year, Patrick commented that he wanted more from his character than just McDreamy.......so I guess that is why they are changing him around some, not too much but some. Thats another reason why I think he will become chief because that will change his character alot too.
I was SOOOOOO glad that he turned the mcbargirl down for the drink! Boy, that had everybody worried this past week! And I read today that the girl is Mer's half sister. (She is starting her residencey) So, I really don't think Dereck will go but so far with her. I felt sorry for Der last night...I mean I know Mer has been threw alot, but she could have been alittle more appreciative for him trying to help, you know? He didn't feel like she needed him at all. At least he would have known not to take it personally. We all know these two love each other and I really hate that we are having to go down this road with them again. I'm thinking that this girl will put alittle fire underneath Mer and bring Mer and Der back together, stronger than ever! Naturally, we will not see that until Season 4. Hopefully, they will not make us wait too long. I can't imagine what Mer will say when she finds out that her half sister is after her man and wonder how Der will react to knowing who she is as well. So, if Der gets chief and him and Mer get back together, that will make a new storyline for these two! I hope it happens sooner than later, I hate seeing these two at odds with each other!!

Hey Hafsa m 25 & from Dublin. I was just wondering how do you watch season 3 ´s ga?. I watch on youtube. Because were ònly getting season 2 next Tuesday & i coúldn´t wait to see what happend to Mer/Der. I was so upset when McDreamy went back to Addie. I was so proud of him when he turnd down McBar girl.

Well.. right now McDreamy is turning into a McLoser..!! I seriously felt it that way...
Thatcher is a totally jerk but i'm more frustrated with Derek than him...!!
This crappy situation made me think about McVet's word that Derek's gonna hurt Mer again...
Right now it's true!!!
Poor Meredith...why did she have to be dark and twisty all the time?? i just can't get it...

I agree with pretty much every one. I'm glad that Derek turned McBar girl down but he shouldn't be acting the way he is (like a big baby). He should have asked Mer's friends what was going on. And sinse, lately, trying to comfort her doesn't seem to be working, he should just give her a break and let her get through it by herself or with her friends. I don't think she can handle all this crap in her life and a boyfriend at the same time right now. Besides, she gave him a break when he needed one.
Oh, and George CAN'T transfer ro Mercy West! He shouldn't be running away from his problems! I know he's in a bit of a situation but if he leaves he'll hurt more than ever without Izzie and all his friends.

After last night's episode, it's official, I'm on:

McDreamy is being McDouchey. He better boss up and start being there for Meredith and treating her like she needs to be treated. The poor girl did lose her mom, and fake mommy and have her dad totally diss her (physically AND emotionally) in front of her employees.
How much more can she take?!

I'm really worried about both Der and Mer. THey both make me so mad sometimes! When you think that progress has been made and then all of a sudden they aren't communicating anymore! Whats up with that??
We all know Mer has been through way too much stuff lately and I don't know how the poor girl can even function! Then theres Derek. He was so torn up when he thought he was going to lose her and broke all of our hearts with those emotional scenes at the hospital! (I haven't got over those yet) ha!
Then when Meredith pulled through and it seemed that everything would be ok, we realized .....things were still not right between them because Derek is afraid she will stop breathing and its affecting his job! Then Mer doesn't want anyone to take care of her because she IS FINE.......Derek is trying so hard to be there for her...she pushes him away..time after time....then Derek decides that maybe the chief position is more important than Mer since thats what he originally came to Seattle for. How can this be??? He then pushes Mer away by telling her he doesn't know if he wants to continue to breathe for her...which was another heart breaking scene with these two! Then her step mom dies, her father slaps her and Derek tries again to be there for her and she again pushes him away...why CAN'T THEY JUST GRAB EACH OTHER AND SAY WAIT A MINUTE..LETS TALK ABOUT ALL OF THIS..........(thats what makes me so upset with these two..they just don't talk) Then after all of the drama Thursaday night.......Mer's hlaf sister makes a play for Der @ the bar...We were all so releved that he said NOOOOOO. BUt then the previews for next week shows Der telling Mer that she should be worried..and maybe she should be...something needs to light a fire underneath them both! I just don't want Derek to start a relationship with this Mcbargirl! So, you see why I am so worried about my favorite couple! I don't know why a few weeks ago I was thinking that maybe..just maybe Mer/Der would be fine heading toward the season finale. Since then, all hell has broke loose! I'm excited naturally about the new epsiode this coming Thursday, but agin sad because it is the finale and I know that things will end with Mer and Der not being together like I want them to be! Does anyone else feel my pain???

I do feel the same pain Kathy and its frustrating and suffocating at the same time. I have never in my peaceful life been so freaking worried about a frictional character until merder. Their thoughts gives me sleepless nights, if Shanda dares hooks der with the Mcbarwhore...... Ellen pompeo is really doing a great job potraying meredith's character, the scene with her and the chief giving her a hug and she broke down was a heart breaker i almost felt her pain. One more thing that worries me is how Shonda is changing derek's character, i sincerely hope she knows that changing derek in a bad way even if its temporary will spoil his image... and people will start to dislike him. I have read so many pages of forum and some very dedicated merder fans are starting to really HATE derek which i think is not right and such a shameful waste. Like i said before some lines are just too dangerous to cross no matter what.

To me, it just seems that everything switched gears at the end of the ferry arc and nothing fits anymore. The logical conclusion once Meredith drowned was that she made up with her mother and was finally valued. She was given the peace and reason she needed to move forward.
It seemed very out of place for Izzie to use that moment when Meredith was dying to tell George he made a mistake. It just didn't fit.
Alex and Addison were headed toward something, but then that was all halted and once they finally got together, it didn't make sense. And then for him to respond by saying "you aren't my girlfriend" didn't fit either, considering how he was the only one who was making her feel valuable earlier.
For Izzie, she has been getting over Denny this entire season. She has not been dreaming about George, and was never really attracted to him at all. Remember him feeling more like a girlfriend than a man in the first season? So now, all she does is follow George around and they are together constantly. To me, it's just not believable and if anything, they should both admit that she is just transferring her feelings for Denny to someone else.
On top of this, she has confided in Burke and Addison, and neither of them are responding in any way. You would think that Burke would offer some sort of advice when he and George were talking about getting married and how George needs to do what is right. Even though Izzie didn't tell Addison who she had slept with, she is smart enough to figure it out if she watched her for a second. Addison should be cautioning Callie to be careful and make sure her relationship is solid before trying for a baby, especially if she were a true friend.
Also about Izzy, it seems as if her daughter was brought into the picture just to give her something else to cry on George's shoulder about. This season started with all of them helping Izzy grieve over Denny, and this is the same type of situation that they would all go through together.
Susan dying made you feel nothing because it was lost in the 2 hour PP episode, and her relationship with Meredith was just beginning to build. Had they continued to build that relationship into next season, it would have meant something, if it needed to happen at all.
As for Derek and Meredith, he is being mean for shock value. She has never ignored him. Even when she finally chose him this season, it wasn't a big deal, but it should have been the moment they had been waiting for. It was kind of like, "see you tonight" as they passed on the elevator, and that is about all they have done this entire season.
Meredith learned so much about herself and the people in her life when she drowned. What was the point in all of that if nothing changed afterward? She hasn't discussed anything with Christina about her father, hasn't told Izzie about Denny, hasn't told anyone about her mother.
They keep being compared to Ross and Rachel on friends, but by the time they finally got together, no one cared.
Nothing seems connected anymore, and everything just seems to be for shock value.
I love the stories that make you feel something for the characters. It doesn't have to be about body parts and people sleeping with each other for no reason.

I really liked the article in Redbook from Patrick. I loved the part when he commented he questions himself sometimes and says..would Derek Shephard do that? (ha) ….Here is an insert from the article about his and Mer's relationship……….Relationships are also the core of Grey's Anatomy. What do you think about the relationships in the show, especially Derek and Meredith's?
Well, they grow very slowly. I think the frustration for Ellen [Pompeo] and me is that we're victims of our own success, in a sense. The chasing in the first season made it so involving, but once we consummated it and then broke up, it's like, how do these characters continue to grow and thrive in a relationship? And I think that's going to be the real challenge going into the next season: Where do they go? What are the other story lines? Or is it an end? There was something about the longing in the chasing that people really got into.

I guess, when asked about the Mer/Der relationship, Patrick is just guessing on the diffferent directions that Shonda could take him and Ellen…… I don't think any of the actors really know where thier characters are headed in the next season. They will probably be wondering going into their summer hiatus just like we will ….not knowing what the next season will bring!
I do think that Patrick wanted his character to change from only being "McDreamy" and it sounds like he somewhat likes the change from the way the article read, even though he said there have been a few things (Derek) has done that he wouldn't have. Not sure what those things were though. (I thought that was a cute comment) And I agree, characters have to change some to keep them interesting. I just want Mer and Der to change together and I would bet that Patrick hopes that Shonda keeps him and Ellen together! I truly hope the comment he made "or is this the end" doesn't mean anything…I don't really think it does. It was really a safe answer to the original question because he covered all of the bases and really didn't give us any indication where they as a couple are headed. I think Shonda knows how much this couple means to us the viewers and even if she messes with us for a while by keeping them apart…..they will definately find their way back to each other and that will be a great day again for us diehard Mer/Der fans!!!!! I just hope they will work out their differences soon and be back together as the next season begins! (wishful thinking probably…you know it will take longer than that).

I just saw the promo for the final episode. I´m really worrid about Meedithr & McDreamy. in the proo derek told meredith that he met a woman the night before. She asked him if she should be worried & he siad yeah you should be worried. I´m so scared their not going to make it though their problems. But of corse i hope they do

Hi Hafsa thank you so much for the amazing website addresses. I also had another thought on the Mer/Der problem. Maybe just maybe mcbar girl could be McDreamy´s Finn, Maybe she´s the better girl but both know he still loves & wants dark & twisty Meredith. & so does he.
