Spoiler Watch: The Season 3 Finale
This Thursday's episode is entitled "Testing 1-2-3." It's the penultimate episode before the Season 3 finale, which is ominously titled "Didn't We Almost Have It All" and is scheduled for May 17.
Among the potential (and fairly predictable) Grey's Anatomy spoilers floating around regarding the season finale are:
- A new Chief of Surgery will be appointed at Seattle Grace.
- Jane Doe learns her identity... and learns she's married.
- George and Izzie are exposed (also rumored to be happening this week), and he and Callie will make a big decision about their relationship.
- The episode will revolve around not only Cristina and Burke's wedding, but our favorite interns' first exam results as well.
- One intern will not do nearly as well as they expected.
Let the speculation begin. Do you buy any of this? More importantly, do you think the season will end with a married Burktina?Â

Hope Geroge and Callie break up and George fails. Burktina won't get married, this is sure.

I think (although I don't want it to,) that Burktina will not be. Also, I think that George will fail, because he has too many women on his mind.

Sorry Im more worried about Derek and Meredith at the moment as usual. Im beginning to think that if Burke and Cristina don't get married they will still be together. The same with Goerge and Izzy weather he stay's with Callie or not him and Izzy will still be friends. Im also ready for Jane Doe to say goodbye her storyline is getting sort of old for me. MerDer are the ones who don't get to be happy for very long it's their turn.

My prediction? Burke will dump Christina at the altar because he hasn't been named chief.
Derek will announce to Meredith there's someone else, so there go about a milllion viewers.
I am so sick of the DRAMARAMA on this show. What happened to the old Grey's?

Shonda has said that this season is the "head"...you know, where all the bad/turning point stuff happens. Most of this season was to force the characters into new directions and growth. She said season 4 is when all the FUN comes back!! Hopefully, this is true :-)
As for the spoilers, hopefully the Ava thing comes to an end soon; she served her main purpose. Of course the major cliff-hanger is going to involve Callie/George/Izzie...there has been a lot of focus on them lately, so something should happen there soon. I have the bad feeling the intern who doesn't do well is Mer...she has had TONS of bad things happen lately, so it's possible the test wasn't the main thing on her mind=failure. As for Burktina, I really, really, hope they do get married. And Der doesn't cheat. And MerDer come to a better understanding in their relationship.

I think that Christina will somehow not do as good as all the other interns - which still might be good; just not up to her expectations. That will force her to reconsider (and be a wakeup call) to why she is marrying Burke and what she really wants - to be a surgeon or to marry Burke. Maybe a wedding next season?
And as for Izzie and George, I am clueless as to where they're taking this one.

i have no words what so ever, because one thing i have come to realise is Shonda likes playing games with peoples mind, so i will just have to wait and she how far she plays this time around. Where are you Debs? i havent seen your comment yet.

I can't see Burke and Cristina not getting married. The last few episode has been about moving forward, so I'll be very upset if that don't. And the person that will fail will be none other than Mer, the daughter of the late great Ellis Grey. It would be unrealistic for Cristina to fail, during Burke hand tremorgate, she learned as much as most first and second residents. Cristina as always been focused when it came to her studies, but Mer has gone through a lot and hasn't been as focused. First it was Der and Addison, then having to deal with her mother telling her she not good enough, then her mother's death, then her stepmom death, then her father (I think he slapped all the smarts out of her), then Der again with his wishy washy ways. My money is on Mer failing, but she'll be able to take it again, and she'll pass. And as for Cristina wanting to be a surgeon, she knows now that she can be a great surgeon and have Burke, too.

I don't think it will be Meredith either. I have faith in her after she studied to be able to do that bone thing on Jane Doe. Callie giving Cristina her flash cards come on would you really trust Callie after the way the other girls have treated her.

I am betting that Burke and Cristina do get married because they have it so perfectly set up for it not to happen. Shonda loves plot twists. It would not be a plot twist to have Burke walk away because the last episode set up him having doubts. The only plot twist they could have at this point is having them go through with the wedding. He may leave the church, as the NE predicted. But neither he nor TR is leaving the show according to their publicists, so maybe they get married privately at the Justice of the Peace after he walks out of the church. I am actually still hoping for a lovely church wedding.
As far as the intern who freezes up and doesn't do well, who is the intern who always freezes up? Who couldn't get off of the bathroom floor? Who stood in front of the hospital all day unable to walk through the door? Who hung an 8 million dollar check on her refrigerator unable to deposit it? There is only one logical person to freeze up and not write a single thing on her exam. Both Cristina and Meredith are far too smart and motivated for this to happen and Alex has already failed one test. There is no reason for him to fail again. George? Too obvious. He was always the weakest intern from the very beginning according to Bailey. That wouldn't be surprising. I predict it will be Izzie.

By the way, Cristina is the only one that was not horrible to Callie. Callie wanted Cristina to do well because she didn't want Izzie to get her hands on the cards.

BurkeBacker, I must agree with you...your scenario makes perfect sense and Izzie always lets her emotions (lovesick for George??) get in the way of her head. I HOPE Christina and Burke do go through with the wedding because it would be nice to see them go through all the changes inherent in that!!

ok so i think that burke and cristina will get married cuz every show needs a stable couple... like monica and chandler, lynette and tom, and grissom and sara, so they will last and by the way burke backer george was picked by burke in episode one to do the first surgery thou he failed he did get picked...and excuse me..heart surgery in an elevator...but i think he will not fail but do bad so mercy west will reject him to their program thus keeping him at SGH. it would be lame for alex to fails since he already did...and cristina fail a test? no way never never...mer won't fail cuz she no longer has a mommy or fake mommy so its too much drama for her. i also think the chick in the bar is mer's other half sister, lexie, the doctor, and ya and derek wont cheat hes not that kind of guy...he did it on addie but with his soul mate so ya. anyways i agree jane doe needs to get her memory back and be gone..unless we know the father of her baby from the past...chief is staying chief...

Hi Horneyelevators, but you remember why Burke picked George, right? He picked him to make an example of him so that the rest would fall in line. He actually picked someone he thought would fail. That was the old Burke before he fell in love with Cristina. That was also the episode when Bailey told him that O'Malley wasn't his guy because he was the one that barely made it into the program. George came through in the elevator though, you are right and I think he has grown as a surgeon more than Izzie at this point in time.
Thanks for the Burke and Cristina support alexaholic. I think it would be fun to see them struggle with the issues of marriage, too. In their own off beat way they are already like a married couple.

p.s. im glad that after susan's death meredith was shooting tequila shots like old times with the exposure of dereks wife and the choosing of dereks wife and the first sex encounter with derek in epi one...instead of drowning herself. shows she has grown. derek needs to believe her

for Derek, i think (though i don't wish) that he will cheat on Meredith. Aww...everything seems so pessimistic at the moment.

I think Christina and Burke will get married just because nobody thinks this will happen...
I am, too, more worried about Mer/Der...
But I guess Derek will - if he's really named chief - turn it down....and Webber stays chief...
Concerning the girl in the bar - this is definitely not going to be Derek's sister. We've already had that....
So I'm worried.....

i think Burktina will get married...and i also think cristina will be the one who won't do well in the exam. and she will blame the marriage for it. i think. burke will feel partly responsible for that and the dramarama will go on from there....
Derek will be named chief, and he will be too busy & Mer will feel neglected.
who's with me on this?
Gizzie..i don't bloody care. but i used to love Izzie and i hate shonda for killing her character... :(

I think, with all the wedding stuff, cristina will fail in her test and she refuse to get married 'cause that is the reason of her failure.
and george and callie will break up, finally.
and... 'cmon people, why dont let mer and der be happy just for a while? I think the one who its gonna be named "chief" is ...... ..... ..... Derek, well, i hope so.

I heard rumors that Burke leaves Cristina at the alter. (For her sake, I so hope that doesn't happen, that's any girl's nightmare.) I hope Callie tells George she wants a divorce. If she finds out about him and Izzie and stays with him, I'll be so disappointed in her. She's so much stronger than that. I love George and Izzie together and have been waiting for it forever, but I wish they didn't have to screw Callie over in the meantime because I like Callie. I agree with Burke Backer on the intern who always freezes up, the reasons they gave were so true too. But is that too predictable? That's what I'm wondering. What if Meredith failed? Do I think it will happen? No. But it sure would be a shocker. Cristina would be a shocker too since that's really not a Cristina thing to do, she never fails. But if they made her fail, then get left at the alter, I will die for her. Plus, Cristina was the one preforming surgeries by herself when Burke's hands were messed up. I can definately see Alex failing but I think that might be too obvious too, so I'm pretty split on that whole thing. I also heard rumors that next season one of the characters has a baby. I don't know if that means Addison's comes through somehow, or if it means a character that will be on Grey's..
