wow ellen is looking more and more pretty everyday, if only you can do something about her hair though, we mer fans will appreciate it. Dont get me wrong,i am not complaining, its just a suggestion for my favourite character. So whats up with the ’stop the stopping’? in the desire preview, i bet its going to be the latest phrase. LOL!!!

I really do not like what they are doing to their characters. I do not like how things are going. Still, it’s Grey’s…I keep waiting for them to snap out of it.

I was not a happy camper after tonights show. I want MerDer happy for more than a show or two, This is getting really obsurd in the worse possible way.
What a disappointment it was to see the last Mer/Der scene! I realized at the beginning when Mer was talking with Der when she said she had not seen him in a few days that she still didn’t get it that there was something going on with Der. Throughout the show as she was joking with him about communication, he didn’t like that at all! And then the last scene , was a heart breaker! Naturally these two love each other soooo much and Mer just don’t realize how her drowning really effected Der. I was glad that he told her what was bothering him though, even though it really seemed to hurt Mer. He did say he loved her and wanted her but just didn’t know if he could continue to breathe for her. (I wish he had of worded that alittle differently). Even though we all know what he was trying to say. I just wanted her to tell him that she did come back for him and instead she left crying. Maybe she will realize now that Der really needs her now more that ever and she definately needs to open up to him! Even though from what I read in the spoilers it says Mer/Der will still not be on solid ground next week either! This really makes me angry and I am really hoping that the last two epsiodes show all of us Mer/Der fans some hope for these two, if not there will be alot of unhappy fans! Lets keep our finger crossed!

the last scene was definitely a heart breaker. i think it was good derek said all that stuff to mer, but it was a little too much at once for her. it’s soooo sad cuz you know he loves her (btw, i was glad that he said that) but that it’s too much. and it made it even sadder b/c meredith was trying to hard to be a good girlfriend (even if she was kind of poking fun at him at first). so i’m kinda confused about their status. i guess they didn’t oficially break up, but something definitely happened. i mean when someone in a relationship says something along the lines of ‘i don’t know if i can do this’ i think a break-up convo/a break up might be in the future. i really hope a break up isn’t in the future. i guess it’s a good cliff hanger. but we’ve done enough mer/der season cliff hangers. do a callie/izzie/george one or a burke/cristina one, writers! please????? we fans need mer/der to be together. i’m glad they had the convo, the convo about her swimming…oyyy idk. i’m hoping mer can come back and say something to that, say that she is breathing on her own now but she still needs him. i don’t think that’s really something we should do. welllll i think that’s enough ranting about grey’s.
Liked what I saw of the episode, until I had to run out of my dorm for a fire drill right when Addison and Alex were getting it on.
Then they wasted more time by having us stand outside and I got back after they were done with the Penisfish surgery.
Oh yeah, and the ending pissed me off because NOBODY was happy. Someone should have at least been happy.

Glad they started “THE CONVERSATION”….but what a rotten time to have it - right before Meredith’s BOARDS???? C’mon…unless he hated her, he wouldn’t do that, would he?
Haven’t read the writers blog yet - but PD seemed to play that scene so flatly, with so little emotion. After the NDE epis that he did so well….unless it was absolutely intended to be cold / aloof / removed….well, it certainly left me cold. (Although didn’t he LOOK yummy!)
Anyway - it left me disappointed, dismayed, sad…
Thank GOD somebody had a good night — loved the “this cake, this day, this woman” line - and of course, the BANG scene at the end.
To me, there was a lot of contrived activity last night. So much seems forced anymore. Too much ratings race, not enough continuity.
Anyway - at least it was a new show. And we’ve got 4 more episodes this season, although part II looks like its the first show of Private Practice instead of Grey’s…
Interested to see the analysis from everyone else. Somebody find something good to say about Mer/Der.
I for one am glad that Derek is starting to talk about what he went through during Mer’s NDE. It seemed at first that the entire thing was being swept under the rug, and Meredith grateful for it. Having said that, I hope Meredith has an equal opportunity to talk aobut what she went through - and how hard she eventually did fight to come back; to breathe for herself. Derek needs to be let off the hook and Meredith needs the chance to redeem herself. I can’t imagine this couple parting for good - it would be a death knell for the show.
Surprisingly (to me at least), I’m actually pulling for a George/Izzie coupling beyond the drunken sex romp. I hated it at first, but the writers of this show are really opening my eyes to a truly healthy and loving relationship. They have an amazing foundation in their friendship - a perfect way to build something beyond. Great acting by both Heigl and Knight. They say so much without ever uttering a word.
Excellent final scene between Burke/Christina.
I don’t think Addi’s departure is rushed or forced. It was several episodes when she admitted that she could just disappear and nobody would notice. That set things in motion for her spinoff without loyal viewers scratching their heads and wondering where her exit came from.
I think last night episode sucked. first of all i hate how mer/der aren’t getting along. and second I hate George and izzie together. Izzie used to be my favorite in the show but now I can’t stand her, she is so annoying. I don’t like the direction Grey’s is going; for the preview for next week it looked like mers Dad slapped her did anybody else see that?
I loved last night’s episode. I think the season finale is going to be something that is the subject of alot of deep dicussions. I think Mer and Der are going to take a break because he wants the chief’s job. But what will happen if the chief doesn’t leave and he and Mer are on a break. I think the vet should pop in for a visit. Stir things up a bit.
OMG!!! are you serious. Derek just always has to ruin it!!!!NA d addisson wants to have a baby!!! Alex is totally going to hook up with ava he doesn’t even like addisson any more!! and she doesn’t know who to choose!! but now they both are letting her go!! and George is going somewhere else!! Izzy i bet will go to then!!! Very intense.
i totally loved last night’s episode and its NOT because merder had the awful conversation. i mean, come on, a couple’s never that perfect right? i thought derek was right to say those things…you have to be honest w/ the person you love or else things are never going to work. it was just too much for meredith and she left. you can’t always expect merder to be happy/ perfect…or else it’ll just be getting boring. the writers are just trying to expand the characters and to show us that they’re not always perfect. because of the merder conversation, they’re relationship will probably be stronger since they’re honest.
didnt have much to say about gizzie. its something different and i guess its ‘interesting’ to watch? i dunno…it’s just a different twist to the show. i feel sorry for all three of them (callie, izzie and george) but they’ll get by somehow. next week’s the wedding and they have to be happy!
addison’s leaving next week so you shouldn’t have expected much from addisex. felt bad for mark though. alex was yes, an ass and it was mean for him to use addison. addison never really loved mark so yeah…
Well, I watched it about 3 more times…and feel a little more hopeful. Derek didn’t make ‘breaking up’ comments, just very intense “this is how I feel” comments. Mer bailed instead of talking back. Although that might’ve been all she could’ve done at the time.
I watched next week’s promo about 50 times, too - and at least they are talking (sort of)…
Anyway, I am more hopeful — ‘wishing & hoping’ you might say…

I’m sure you are right Dixiegirl. If you look at the still photos from upcoming episodes they look happy again. I think he just needed some time to get things in perspective. Clearly he loves Meredith. That’s why he is so torn in all of this. There is just no way that they will break up Meredith and Derek again. They belong together, just as Burke and Cristina do.
I also don’t think for one minute that George is leaving the show. His representative confirmed on Eonline that he has re-signed with a new hefty contract. This is all just drama for the sake of drama. I really don’t like Callie and George together, but neither of them should leave the show and I am sure that neither will.
I loved the Burke and Cristina scenes this past week. The whole wedding cake thing was so sweet. “This cake, for this day, with this woman.” How romantic is Burke?? I loved the kissing scene. I’m still afraid that something will happen and they won’t actually get married, but I am really hoping that they do. There is no doubt in my mind that they love each other. Marriage wouldn’t be easy, but I would love to see them try to work it out.
The whole Addison and Alex thing was kind of disappointing. They built it up to be such a big deal and it was really just Justin Chambers ripping his scrub top off, which we’ve seen before with Izzie. I actually felt sorry for Mark and then at the end I felt sorry for Addison.
Nice scene between Baiiley and the Chief. I really don’t think he is going to leave and all of this competition will be for nothing.
