"We're especially excited about the introduction of the clueless male gyno, who'll meet Addison after she accidentally walks on him in the middle of administering a pelvic exam to a woman he's asking for love-life advice, a character-establishing encounter that will be punctuated by a wisecracking nurse practitioner who declares with an eye-roll, "For a guy who spends all day staring into vaginas, you sure don't know anything about the opposite sex, doc!" Later, to the surprise of no one, Addison and the gynecologist will have an impulsive sexual encounter in an unoccupied exam room that complicates her romantic pursuit of Taye Diggs, setting up the first season's primary romantic storyline. Well Dr. Addison has been my all-time favorite character in GA. She is really good so I believe she'll fit perfectly anywhere. I think her character is suffering because of the situation that's leaving became an option....gudluk Kate!

I loved the special 2 hour long episode of Grey's! It was great, not stealing everything from GA, not too completely insanely different. It was funny with great chemistry between Kate Walsh and Tim Daly, great music as usual, and we finally got to see a freer side of Addison.
I think people are jumping to conclusions. It was ONE EPISODE. The FIRST one. Chill out and give it a chance.

I have to admit that although I still love "Grey's Anatomy", I also thoroughly enjoyed the spin-off concept so far. From what I've seen so far, it's got a bit more of that thirty-something sort of flare to it.
As "Grey's" continues to tackle more and more of the new marriage issues and hospital intern challenges with all of its usual "mc"juicy twists and turns, it's also nice to see an opportunity for a spin-off that provides us with something for the over 20'sand 30's crowd as well.
While the "Grey's" ensemble keeps us on our toes with wedding planning, proposals, and new relationships, as well as the experiences of surgical interns, I think it'd be great to have something like "Private Practice" to offer more of what it's already put out there on the table for us so far…storylines dealing with divorce, getting back into the dating game, the life choices that someone like Addison's character face when they've dedicated so much time and effort to their profession and their pursuits in life and are faced with the knowledge that they want more.
I for one hope to see it get more than a fair chance. I think it's an awesome idea. Best of luck!

After watching the 2 hour event on Thursday and having seen GA from the very start. I think that this spin off with Kate Walsh will be really good. I actually think that I would rather enjoy watching it then GA. Although I love the show! I think that they have made everyone start to look rather trashy on the show. If that's really the way that surgeons act, then I think I would rather have a nurse perform my surgery, if I ever had to have one. Anyways, looks like the same type of drama, but a little more mature. GA seems like I'm reliving high school sometimes and that gets really old.
