Tonight's Episode: "Walk On Water"
Beginning tonight, our favorite show will enter a three-episode story arc that the network says will challenge the interns of Seattle Grace - and Grey's Anatomy fans - like never before.
In tonight's "Walk On Water," the staff tries to deal with patients while absorbing the shock of a major disaster on the Seattle ferries. The Chief must choose a team to go out on location and save what's left of the few lives spared.
A woman with pieces of glass in her chest comes to the ER in search of her husband, who was in another ambulance. She refuses to be treated until she sees her husband. But is he at Seattle Grace?
One doctor has to deal with some angry people complaining that the wait to be treated is too long. Somewhere in Seattle, another doctor helps a man stuck in his car after an accident. A patient finds renewed hope after eye surgery, while a child must wait alone in the waiting room as her mother is treated by doctors.
Partially filmed in Seattle, and guest starring Elizabeth Reaser, this episode sounds like a dramatic one. There's certainly lot to process, but it should be entertaining, to say the least. Here's ABC's preview of "Walk On Water" ...

just saw the lighter version of tonight's promo..
Chief died his hair...
hahaha..that was hilarious , the Chief and 4 attendings together in the elevator...
I think Chief is dying is for Ellis Grey..cuz she is having heart surgery today..
what do you think?

this day is just not going fast enough...I have already gone through the last 4 episodes on ABC.com trying to pass the time and there is still 4.5 hours left til I leave work( I would work except our network is down and there is nothing to do) and 8 hours before Grey's Anatomy comes on...

I don't know if the Chief so much as dyed his hair as cut it..it definitly makes his look younger.....Oh there is something else...I had a really weird dream last night that brought this to light.. In "Its the end of the world" and "As we know it" (episodes 16 & 17 season 2) at the end of "As we know it" Derick goes to Meredith's house and she couldn't remember the last time they kissed, and Derick went into a whole monologue about "It was a thursday morning. You were wearing that ratty Dartmouth T-Shirt that you look so good in --with the whole in the back of the neck....BLAH BLAH BLAH....well in that monologue it is implied their last kiss happened the morning that Addison showed up in town (#9 season 1). WELL that wasn't their last kiss...I watched the first disc of season 2 last night and their last kiss was in episode #3 "Make me lose control". When Meredith is sitting outside crying about her mother not having cancer and Derick comes out and tries to console her... Meredith goes over and kisses Derick and says she mostly exhausted from hating him and she doesn't want to do that anymore...Am I right about this? Anyone know what I am talking about? I hope I am wrong cause I really love the last kiss monologue

We did'nt actually see the kiss he described. Im glad for that also because when he described something we had'nt seen it made it so much better. But Meredith wanted to know about their last kiss when they were together and happy. Remember after Addison showed up they were not happy at all. If you go back and count they did'nt kiss that much in season 1&2. And for the record to me they hav'nt done enough this season either and I wish he would stop snapping at her. It makes me want to smack some sence into Derek.

OK, here's my question, whom from SG is on the ferry??? and is it going to be shocking??? I think the chief loves Ellis ! He's so sweet to her! Happy watching

I think that Addison is on the ferry. Could be wrong though... I want to know if Burke or Chrisina is going to tell anyone about the engagement! Hope So!

the promo from the abc site is so good. you all should watch it if you have time, it's so funny!
the chief isn't interested in ellis any more. besides the fact that she's got alzheimer's (that never goes away!), he never had any intention of going back to her whether she was well or not. he was only humoring her last episode because he still cares about her and didn't want to hurt her feelings unnecessarily.

MEREDITH!!! COME BACKKK!!! omgg. on the promo for next weeks, derek and christina looked SO concerned and scared about meredith. I mean, she'll live. she's the main character. but still. it's nuts. and that girl just FREAKING WALKED AWAY?!?!? i was like.. HELP HER?!
well this episode was freaking amazing. probably the pest once ver. but doesn't it seem like the hour is just getting shorter every episode? sad, i know.

For some reason I think the little girl might have been a figment of Mer's imagination. She has a knack for somewhat predicting the future, at the very beginning of "It's the end of the world" she didn't want to get out of bed b/c she knew something bad was going to happen, and then the fact that she was sort of trying to drown herself at the beginning of tonight's episode.....so I think the little girl is either a figment of her imagination or it's something of like a ghost that is actually her as a child!

i can't breathe. i mean i literally cannot breathe! this episode totally knocked the breath out of me! it was that good. the frist part that freaked me out was when meredith was in the bathtub and like tried to drown herself. well not really .. but it kinda looked like she was thinking about it and then derek walked in and said all that jazz. it was pretty sweet! the whole "you're not my knight in shining whatever" and then the "for the record i am your knight in shining whatever" yeah that was totally sweet. i said aww outloud. but next was when burke told derek that him and christina were engaged. i knew that wasn't going to be the smartest thing said the whole episode. so i held my breath for that. the third part that freaked me out was when izzie went on the ferry boat. i was kinda freaking out cause nothing good can come when a person goes back onto a ferry boat that's on fire .. on the water .. where she could drown with the boat. yeah that was freaking me out. OH and when alex went down on that little dock thing and the guy told him not to it wasn't stable i freaked out. i was like ahh alex is gonna drown to! but then i was like nah. then he was leaving because the girl was dead .. but no she wasn't dead! so he goes back and gets the thing off her and everythings okay. but that girl looked kinda bad .. like that guy that had all those tumors on his face and looked like a lion earlier in the season .. cept she was black and blue. but i thought alex was pretty nice in this episode. i liked it. and then .. the worst thing of all .. meredith freaking falls off the dock and the little girl doesn't do anything. i mean i know shes little but i would be freaking out if i was that little and the grown up i was with fell over .. i would be screaming. but no she doesn't. so i did for her! no really .. i did. so it's showing meredith fall over and the little girl just turns around and walks off. oh and speaking of the little girl .. when that guy took her and then just left her right there .. that wasn't too nice .. i wanted to slap him. but then back to meredith .. the promo for next week is freaking me out to! it's like everything tonight is freaking me out. i HATE it! ahhh. can meredith not swim? but derek and christina both looked really scared .. and considering christina isn't even at the dock i don't know how in the hell she would know about meredith being in the water so maybe she's been gone for a while and they can't find her?! but i'm not getting ahead of myself or i'll be freaking out all week. and i cannot have that. so i'm going to stay postitve and just leave it at that. overall it was one of THE BEST episodes yet. wayy better than the bomb one. LOVE IT! :)

I thought it was a great episode. Loved the Der/Mer moments. I think what will happen is....Remember, Derreck told Meredith that he wa her "Knight and Shinning Armour"when he kissed her before leaving for work. He will save her life and naturally be her "Knight and Shinning Armour"!!!!!! I love Patrick even more now just thinking about that! (ha) I think Der will be asking Mer to marry him soon, maybe not next week, but I think after all of this is said and done...they will realize exactly how much they love each other and will be the couple to get married in the end. They will marry on a Ferry Boat! Does anybody else see the future plans for Mer/Der that I see??
