Tonight: "Drowning On Dry Land"
Tonight, Grey's Anatomy returns for part two of the three-part drama that began with last week's thrilling "Walk On Water."
In tonight's "Drowning On Dry Land," the doctors frantically search for the missing Meredith - while pondering their own places in the universe.
Meanwhile, a desperate, frantic Izzie decides to take extreme measures to manage the situation she finds herself in. Cristina and Burke have a blow-up fight about their engagement announcement.
Oh, and there's also the rumor going around that one of the doctors will die, or find themselves on the brink of the great beyond in a harrowing near-death experience (both possibilities we address in our death watch).
Yikes! Guest starring Elizabeth Reaser (who we believe is the pregnant Jane Doe), this second of three episodes sounds like another edge-of-your-seat event. Here's ABC's preview of "Drowning On Dry Land" ...
Wow. We're nervous just watching that clip! As always, we'll have our official episode guide posted after the show, and start putting together a list of quotes, image gallery, and music guide. Check back with us often, and thanks as always for watching Grey's Anatomy right along side the Insider!

There is a slightly different preview for tonight's show at http://lou66.multiply.com/video/item/1. It's from CTV. Meredith's voiceover says, "There's more I have to say... so much more..." as it shows her sinking in the water. It shows Derek holding her jacket and asking the little girl where Meredith is, and other characters at the hospital asking about when was the last time anyone saw her.

LOL, I just love Addison's (and Pink Mist's!) "I just puked a little in my mouth" quote. I can't wait to use it myself one day in a real conversation!

Is that Izzy holding Cristina in her arms???? If so she is not the one who dies.....
February 15th, 2007 1:23 PM

I think Meredith and Derek gets marred.

I hope it's Syph Nurse (Olivia) that snuffs it! But that's not because I'm that mean, I just don't want anyone else to die!
Also, Elizabeth Reaser is the Jane Doe character - it's on her IMDb.

Burke and Cristina have a blow up fight tonight?
Where did you hear that?
I mean, didn't they just have this LONG HUGE fight starting from a couple of episodes before???
I really DON"T like the way this show is going...
oh well...i probably will still watch it ...

Ok folkes, Derek is going to save Mer, he is indeed the Knight in Shining armour, but I am really worried about Izzie, the gas leaking is an ominous sign, we may even see Denny in this episode..Burke and Cristina will come to a resolution, per usual, they care too much to let it become a breaking point. George is going to have his hands full as well finding Chris . Everyone keeps saying someone is going to die, but maybe they do and are brought back, things like that do happen.
Happy Watching !!!

SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NOOOOOO!!!!!! Damn, why couldnt they kill off the ditzy nurse or the ditzy resident....... Merdith is "Dead", but I am personally not rulling out a resuscitation next episode........ but damn, if she is killed off the show that will be depressing, I think that would mean the death of the show as we know it.

Ok, I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED in this show now..
Meredith fake DIED..
of course, you know the next episode is called "Some kind of Miracle"
And I bet in that episode, Meredith is alive again..
This is just SO OBVIOUS!
I think the show is going down hill...
My favorite couple is BANG..
What happened between Burke and Cristina? Anything exciting? I think for all us BANG fans out there.. we really need to see Burke and Cristina start having sex soon...otherwise..we will just not bother with it anymore..
The show used to be so great though..

Derek did get her out of the water so those of you who made that prediction were at least half right. It will remain to be seen next week who actually saves her. I felt so sorry for Derek tonight. It was nice that Burke came and asked what he could do and simply did what Derek asked. It was also nice that Mark came and sat with him. I agree with you Karen, I would like to see more of Burke and Cristina together and happy, but this was Meredith and Derek's episode. I still don't know if we all have it right, but it sure looks like Meredith died tonight and will be come back to life next week and it looks like Cristina is the one that won't give up on her. So now we have to worry for another week about who the second person to die will be.
I still think it is going to be Ellis Grey. Maybe Ellis will die before Meredith comes revives and will talk to Meredith and tell her to be happy and that she is proud of her and that she needs to go back and live her life. Maybe the only way they will have some resolution of their problems is somewhere in that space between life and death.

my tv freaked out at the last second what happened when meredith woke up and dylan was there
February 15th, 2007 9:38 PM
*in tears* wait so is meredith dead? like officially? But...is it clear that they're going to bring her back..because that's sort of only like 1 person dying.
Sorry im a mess..i wish i was 7 years older... i need tequilla...
*pulls it together* Ok now for reality. Meredith is going to come back to life and live... and tell izzie that she saw denny..and then Ellis is going to die... they wouldnt have izzie say that whole speech if mer was going to die..
February 15th, 2007 9:58 PM
Wow. I got tired watching that one. How DARE yall make us wait till next week! Geezy! LOL!
Oh yeah...please tell ABC that we do NOT watch "Men in Trees." After Grey's...we change the channel. ROFL!
February 15th, 2007 10:00 PM
Oh my gosh. I was like trying. They cant kill Meredith! Then it would turn into an OC and the show would tank. They wouldn't kill her, would they?
February 15th, 2007 10:02 PM
OMGOSH...I can't hardly wait until next week! I thought this was a great episode! I wish it would have shown more of Meredith instead of leaving all of that till the very end...even though we knew that would be the way it would be! I was thrilled for Izzie. Maybe she will get back to normal now! Everyone seemed to have alot of screen time in this episode. Naturally, my favorites are Mer/Der and I knew he would be her "Knight and Shinning Whatever" I felt so sorry for Der! He loves her SO much! I was glad to see Mark give Der his support by being there for him and even Addison knows how much Der loves Mer and I think she is doing all she can for Mer too and she saw Derrecks face when that door opened, he was so upset and crying! I truly believe Mer will be revived again and will eventually be fine! I think that her and Der will realize even more how much they love each other and they will get married!
February 15th, 2007 10:08 PM
OMG ! Intense, "Rock Star"! The whole cast rocked. I believe Mer will be fine!!! She won't die!! Alex was awesome...through darkness, you find the light..Man next week seems along time to wait..Oh yeah BAWLLLL***Sniff*** a few tears were shed

I have been trying for an hour to get on this site and still cannot access any of the forums--I am surprised more than anything at the reactions I am reading here. Am I the only one who was totally rocked by this episode??? I am still reeling, the most intense drama I think I've ever seen! I cannot even put it into words yet....
February 15th, 2007 10:30 PM
If they revive Mer, it would make the show entirely unbelievable. She was in the water far too long and the water was not nearly cold enough for deep hypothermia to cause her body functions to slow down.
Yes I know people have survived being under water for 30 minutes or more, but the water was near freezing and they were revived fairly quickly. Unless I am missing something, this has not been the case. Mer is toast or the writers are really reaching.
February 15th, 2007 10:33 PM
Sorry, I see there are posts from others who were as awed as I am by this one--I am not thinking straight....
February 15th, 2007 10:33 PM
They have to revive her, it is call Grey's Anatomy. It was sad tonight, everyone else is learning and growing, Mer has to die to learn and grow. Talk about doing things the hard way.

can anyone get on the forum?
