Tonight's Episode: "Some Kind of Miracle"
This unforgettable three-part event began with the ferry disaster in "Walk On Water." It continued last week in "Drowing On Dry Land," with the heroics of some interns and the death of one of their own.
In tonight's episode, titled "Some Kind of Miracle," Grey's Anatomy fans can only hope that the miracle is Meredith Grey being brought back to life.
When Grey's Anatomy returns tonight after least week's thriller, the surgeons pull out all the stops to make it happen.
Mer's fight to live affects everyone at Seattle Grace as people all over the hospital are having crises after the fallout of the ferry disaster.
A young man is having problems with brain-mouth coordination. Alex's attachment to the pregnant Jane Doe (Elizabeth Reaser) continues to evolve. Most importantly, we know someone dies in this episode - what we don't know is if that someone is already dead or if there is a second death.

i'm so effing excited...my week has been crappy, but this will cheer me up (as long as someone i love wont die) i feel bad but i kinda hopes its ellis grey...cuz that will be the most effective death outside of the 11 main actors in the cast. anyways im crossing my fingers.

meredith grey cannot die!!!! This is killing me. i can't wait until 9 tonight to see what happens!!! If she dies what is going to happen to derek and george and christina!!!!!! Please don't let her die!!!!!!

I hate how they are saying "the devastating conclusion" and "to the television event you won't want to miss." I feel that they are just trying to trick us!! She just can't die! I don't think I'll be able to handle the suspense!!!

If they kill meredith, the show wont be the same. i know shonda rhimes said she breaks the rules of television, but if she killed off the title character, not only would she be breaking rules, she would lose a hell of a lot of viewers. they are already talking about taking addison off the show to do a spin off. they cant take meredith and addison off the show or it will fall apart.

If Meredith dies i think alot of people will quit watching the show including myself! It will be a strong episode and one that will be hard to watch so hopefully the producers will not let us down.

I just made the mistake of watching the second version of the promo (which I had not seen before). Now, I'm just not sure how I'm going to make it through the next 10 hours. LOL.
I literally had to cut myself off of most things "Grey" this week. I usually like to watch episodes over again, read episode summaries, quotes, etc. but I knew that if I did those things, I would just be continuing to torture myself. Instead, I did my best to NOT think about it at ALL! The suspense is just too much for me to handle.
I don't think Meredith is going to die (that would be SO stupid), but I just can't shake this feeling that even if she does live, this arc is not going to end the way I would like it to (happy Mer and Der). I could see Shonda using this whole disaster and the death of Meredith's mother (if that happens) as a way to break apart Meredith and Derek... AGAIN.
Here's hoping for the best!...

Oh, and for the record... I friggin' HATE the photo posted with this entry. I can't even look at it. Derek looks so scared and Meredith looks so... DEAD. Seeing her skin tone (white and blue) next to Derek's makes it all the more frightening.

I don't think Meredith is going to die, I think Ellis is (c'mon, what else can they do with Ellis' storyline? not much). But prepare for the possibliity that an alive Meredith may be a severely impaired Meredith. It's fair to say that a significant number of drowning survivors end up brain damaged. Things aren't going to be the same for awhile. I wonder what card Shondra has up her sleeve?

I know I have a really hard time looking at the picture too...So if Shonda is taking on all these different projects, is Grey's going to suffer for it? I am sure she will be getting tons of money and thats whats fueling this lil spin-off. Greed...sad really. In the preview at the end where it shows Derek in a tan suit jacket...does his face look like a sigh of relief?

I love that second preview how Addison is helping Derek get through this. That was great last week when she came in, and instead of feeling sorry for herself, she was concerned for Derek and tried to help Mer.
I just hope that the spinoff doesn't hurt the main show.

Its not fair! Things arnt suposed to be that way. They hopfully wont kill off meradith but you never know. I also think that Derek really realizes how much she means to him. Lets hope it works out tonight.

I, too, worry a little bit that Shonda having her hands full with all of these new ventures will adversely affect Grey's. However, if you have ever heard Shonda talk about Grey's... like in interviews, or during the commentary on the DVDs... Grey's is really her baby. I think she has a vision for the entire series, including how it will all end, when that time comes. She makes me believe that she really *LOVES* these characters... almost in a crazy way!! LOL. And individual episodes are often not written by her anyway... so hopefully we won't see a negative impact on the quality of the show that started it all. It would be a shame.
I love who Addison has become in terms of her relationships with Derek and Meredith. She has really been a true adult about the whole situation. It wasn't easy for her to give up her marriage, but I think she always understood that Derek loves Meredith (from the moment he told her in season 2, "she wasn't a fling"). They gave it a try, but it didn't work out--they had grown too far apart. But she still loves Derek in the way that she cares for him and wants his happiness. And she has allowed herself to care for Meredith as a person, too (demonstrated in the episode with Meredith's appendicitis). More people in real life should act that way after a divorce!

I know that, if Meredith dies I'll stop watching the show.... I know that there are a lot of others characters - Izzy, Alex, Christina, but.....
Meredith & Derek were / are/ will be THE MOST IMPORTANT!!
I cannot belive that Shonda would be so cruel and do something like that to all Grey's Crew fans.......

I dont think they will kill Merideth. My guess is she will have an near death experience ( with Denny and the Bomb guy) and come back at the end.. with amnesia!!! she wont remember Derek or Christina .. any of them. That would put a twist in the way to happy for now couple!

I don't like where Shonda is going with all this...the show has been such a success (!) for the past three years. I'll be the first to say Meredith is not my favorite character, sometimes she drives me up a wall but come on..don't take away a good thing Shonda. I'm not going to boycott the show if Meredith dies because without her presence Greys itself will flatline....and dont even get me started with this new spin-off...ughhhhh

If Meredith dies my Thursday nights will NOT be the same! She can't die but at the same time I'm thinking 'well she will just because i think that she won't!' What a way that would end my week! I've been counting down the days until this episode all week long. If she dies the show will have the same fate of The OC when they killed off Marissa. Pretty soon we will we watching the Finale. DON'T LET IT HAPPEN!!!

umm has anybody else considered that this could take a romeo and juliet type turn? that would be really stupid, but what if derek thinks meredith's dead so he like does something to himself, and then she comes back to life, and finds out he's dead or something. meredith can't die, but derek better not be the one dying either, cuz without their twisted love story, the show is not as good.
but then again, nobody can really die without taking away from the show, unless it's ellis, but i think it's gonna be the chief, since they've been talking about replacing him already and stuff
