Please don't let Meredith Die,, Maybe Yang will save her.......

  2. NJGirl Says:

does anyone have the quote of Izzy's powerful and emotional speech outside of Meredith's operating room? Part of it was "I believe that believing we will survive, makes us survive." Thanks!!

  3. Eline Says:

    This is Izzy's speech:

Izzie: She will come through this.
    George: You don't know that.
Izzie: She will come through this.
    George: People die.
Izzie: I know people die. People die in front of us everyday but I believe Meredith will survive this. I believe, I believe, I...I believe in the good. I believe that it's been a hell of a year and I believe that in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary that we will be okay. I believe a lot of things. I believe that...I believe that Denny is always with me. And I believe that if I eat a tub of butter and no one sees that the calories don't count. And I believe that surgeons who prefer staples over stitches are just lazy. And I believe that you are a man that made a terrible mistake marrying Callie and I believe that because I'm your best friend I can tell you this and we can be okay. I believe that even though you made this mistake you will be okay. I believe we survive, George. I believe that believing we survive is what makes us survive.

  4. Amy Says:

OMG!!!! That was so intense!!!I kept hitting my husband when they were doing CPR, I started to cry. Shonda you can't kill her off. OMG !OMG! My mother even called me crying saying that is so awful. I hope everything turns out great I'm just going to believe Izzy's quote " Believing we will survive, makes us survive" She will make , she has to make it. Come back to us Mer, don't worry Derek they will save, and if they don't I will never watch the show again, If they can write the script cruel then I can be cruel back. You can take that to the bank!!!!!

  5. joie Says:

That episode was unbelievable. I cried, laughed, sat on the edge of my seat, and screamed at the TV. I was great. Seeing Meredith carried out of the water by Derek all blue… The look on his face the rest of the night. It broke my heart, and when ADDISON was feeling for him- amazing! Sloan was even on queue this time! I am amazed! The end- so not cool! Now I have to wait an entire week!!! My favorite, or most memorable part was when Derek carried her out of the water. It was slow motion, he was terrified, shocked, numb, and broken all in that silent scene. Brilliant!!!

BTW, Derek, I am so here if you need a hug or some support...

  6. Burke Backer Says:

We all have to know that Meredith will survive. Izzie's speech was foreshadowiing. Now we have to figure out which of the others won't make it next week and my money is still on Ellis. She is the most logical, not that Shonda and company always do the logical thing. My favorite scenes last night:

    1. Mark coming to sit by his friend in the hall when Derek was devastated by Meredith's drowning.
    2. Alex assuring Addison that he would notice if she went missing.
    3. Burke coming to Derek to see what he could do to help and then going right in to do what he could.
    4. Th interns gathered together to lend support for each other while the work to revive Meredith.

    Least favorite parts:

    1. Izzie drilling holes in the guy's head, not found of the bloody, graphic parts and found the whole thing unnecessary to the story.
    2. Burke and Cristina still bickering, (give us a break and give them some happy dialogue for a change.)
    3. Meredith coming out of the water blue and lifeless.
    4. Cristina telling Burke that Meredith is the person she would call on if she needed to drag a corpse across the floor. Burke obviously felt that he was the corpse in that scenario and was hurt once again. He does understand her, but there are timies when she needs to understand him, too. He has always been unsure of their relationship and sometimes he needs reassurance. This was one of those times.

Joie--I so agree with you about Derek. My heart almost stopped when he walked out of the water carrying his Meredith in his arms. She looked so beautiful and fragile. I will never forget his face in that moment for the rest of my life. This episode made me love GA like never before.

  8. miki Says:

Yeah and Derricks face when he pulled her out the what and when George was leaning against the door crying...GOD it makes me said just thinking about it. I CAN NOT wait until next thursday!!!!

  10. PINK MIST Says:

I just watched it again….I am exhausted…again….WOW last night with sooo much going on I did not realize how wonderful and real of an actor Patrick Dempsey is. He makes you feel for him..it is like I am living it with him and connected to Patrick/Derek…thats what an actor is suppose to do. He WILL win next year; Emmy's, Golden Globes, People's Choice…all of them, Patrick will win.

  11. erika Says:

ok so my bf and I are arguing about the conclusion of the episode he says meridith will die and that will be the end of the entire Grey's anatomy season, I say meridith will live and there will be sooo many more new episodes to come, what do u guys think?

  12. rose Says:

My question is, was Meredith commiting suicide by sinking into the water, or was she just too weak to keep going?

  13. Angie Says:

Seeing Denny and the Bomb Captain again was so reassuring, knowing that they are ok and happy in the afterlife almost made it ok.....almost...but not enough. I also felt that if they kill off Meredith I would not watch the show anymore, I guess we all have a week to wait and see and then decide. These characters become our friends on Thursday nights, going through another death seems cruel to me also.

  14. Merry Says:

I am afraid that Meredith will die, but that they are going to create some kind of parrellel or "other world" ,possibly including our past departed friends...

  15. PINK MIST Says:

Well they signed on for a total of 9 seasons from what I have found online..so there will definitly be more episodes...I think if they really did kill of Mer, then they jumped ship and people will stop watching. So if they all want to have a job in a month then they won't kill her off. I know if they did I proly would stop watching unless they came up with a damn good plan.

To: Rose-- She wasn't commiting suicide, have you ever been in freezing water before? It's Seattle-- We all know it's pretty damn cold up there and you have about a min to get out of the water before hypothermia sets in. She was struggling and trying to swim so that took what was left of her energy. The freezing cold water zapped her.

  16. rose Says:

The reason I asked if Meredith was committing suicide was because of the look on her face--she didn't struggle, it just looked like she was giving up.

  17. PINK MIST Says:

I found this in the forum and I really like what she said. I kind of had the same thoughts, but this is a really good explanation. I hope you don't mind Summer...
This is was posted by SUMMER off the forum:

"I think that Mer will spend most the episode talking to denny and bomb guy…dead…then, i think ellis will flatline, and end up in the same in between type place mer is. mer will get the chance to talk to lucid (dead) ellis, and ellis will finally tell her that shes proud of her and how much ellis wishes her life had been ‘ordinary'. mer willget a seond chance at life, and even when she wakes up to find her mother has died, she will have closure that she never would have had if she had been awake while ellis was dying."

  18. dany Says:

I think, as I am sure you all do, that Mer won´t die. It would be killing the show, and I am pretty sure they won´t do that.

Just some things I am thinking about:

    1. The pregnant girl that Karev saved, is someone that is related to him somehow. I´ve read that she´s a girl he slept with at the beginning of this season. Makes me sense, as I remember the way this girl touched Karev´s hands, as if she did not want to let him go. It was like she was trying to say something to him. I´ve read some speculations that she might be expecting Karev´s baby, but I also think that would mess the Addison/Karev relationship.

    2. As many others do think, I guess Ellis is the one dying. Just remember that she is going to a heart surgery, and it´s wuite easy to kill someone in an OR.

Hoping to hear somehting else!! :)

  19. dany Says:

PINK MIST, totally agree with the comment you copied above... yes, I think that Mer will spend a lot of time talking with thse two guys (Denny and the bomb guy), and who knows, maybe Denny will try to give Izzie some kind of message...

Also, I do think Ellis will die (probably when Mer is still asleep or trying to survive, and maybe they will be together in this "other life" for some secs), and she will regret of so many things...

I must say I loved the way Addison tried to help Mer. I´ve never liked Addison too much, but they are doing a great job with her character in the last weeks, as she is getting a better person every chapter... just liked it a lot, same as Sloan´s reaction...

  20. bobbyjoe Says:

ok. so Mer can't die. i think that if the show created an afterlife like environment then that would be just way to fake. and i like the idea that ellis dies and talks to mer but that would be way to off. if they had enough time to have surgery and then to have her die then that means that they all stopped working on mer. the timing would be off and mer would have to be dead for like at least 2 hours.

  21. bobbyjoe Says:

so i heard that it could be olivia. that the pregnant girl is olivia. but i don't think that would make sense. she didn't even seem pregnant at all like 2 weeks ago. and i know that they haven't been away for several months. i just wanted to say that i think alex is becoming such a better person. the time when he put the pictures up made me ball. idk. i really don't be;ieve the whole "other life" thing

  22. sharae62 Says:

I have to admit, if they keep Mer dead, I won't watch anymore. She is one of the solid characters on the show. I like the idea about Ellis dying & being there with Denny, Dylan & her & letting her survive. Would be great.

  23. ymatthews Says:

I am PRAYING, and thanks to Izzie -believing, that Ellis will die and join the three deadies in the room whereupon Meredith and her Mom make nice, and have some closure to the painful past they have endured ..then her Mom urges her to fight for her not-so-ordinary life and and she does, but after having had great chats and messages from Denny and bomb-boy. This will take the whole episode and keep us on our toes for the whole hour (making it look like she's comfy up there) but there is no time in the afterlife and what will seem like hours or days up there will be mere minutes to her earthly mourners...
Ya! Ya! That's my perfect world...cuz man...I'm empty. Not a tear left in me -I'm sure of it.
    Yo

  24. ymatthews Says:

Okay by the time I finished typing...PINK MIST had the same thoughts. Great minds think a like! I'm with YOU!

  25. Matthew Says:

I also think Meredith will meet Ellis who dies while Meredith is dead. I only hope their scene will be a good and intense Grey's Anatomy style scene and not a typical I'm sorry and goodbye scene.

I loved Patrick in the scene were Derek falls apart in the hallway, the rawness of that scene made my cry and I (almost) never do when watching TV because most of the time I don't feel it like the scene wants me to. But this time I did and it was a very powerful and beautiful scene. My guess is that this particular scene will get Patrick lots of nominations next season. He played it out superbly!

Here is what I think, it's possible that by the end of the next episode Meredith is still dead. I am only saying is that because there is no episode scheduled for March 01, we have to wait until March 08 for the next episode after next week's three-episode-arc conclusion and what a way to create a cliffhanger! Than again, the title for next week's episode does indicate that Meredith will be ok. I don't believe they will permanently kill Meredith, Shonda keeps talking about the journey Meredith has to take and her afterlife trip will account for that.
