Patrick Dempsey Pictures From His Newest Film Project, "Freedom Writers"

Inspired by a true story and the diaries of real Long Beach teenagers after the L.A. riots, Freedom Writers tackles the worst outbreak of interracial gang warfare in recent history. Two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank stars as Erin Gruwell, whose passion to become a teacher is challenged by Black, Latino, and Asian gangs who hate her even more than each other. But when she listens to them in ways no adults ever have, Erin begins to understand what their lives are like - and what she wants her own to become.
Patrick plays Scott Casey, who appears to be a love interest and possible colleague of Hilary Swank. The film is written and directed by Richard LaGravenese and also stars Scott Glenn, Imelda Staunton and Mario. It opens January 12. At the very least, it offers some nice Patrick Dempsey pictures...

Although I know he is an actor and can play a million roles at the same time, it seems funny seeing him with Hilary Swank and not Ellen Pompeo. Looks like a good movie.

I don't really like his hair in the top pic. Too much, to wavey. I like the more boyish curls. But anyhow, seems like a fun movie. Hilary rocks btw.

Patrick Dempsey looks great and is really appealing on screen, he has great charisma and a charm thats priceless. I've been watching Grey's Anatomy since its inception and I love that show! He's was recently nominated for Favorite Male TV Star for the upcoming People's Choice Awards. There are only 5 more days to vote. i donno i m totally in love with patrick demsey but seeing him with another woman besides ellen pompeo just feels weird...no doubt that he's a good actor but i dont think this'll work out to well because he'll always be looked at by everyone only as derrick mcdreamy sheppard....

I try not to type cast but Grey's Anatomy is the first thing I have ever seen Patrick and Ellen do and I am so hooked on seeing them together. It is hard for me to watch them with anyone else it does seem weird. The NY&CO photo shoot is another reason I am hooked on these two the chemistry is just awesome.

I agree with you Bonnie M. The NY&Co ads are awesome. I have never seen and actor & actress with the chemistry these two have. I'll go see the movie to watch McDreamy but, agree that is is weird to see him with someone besides Ellen.

Patrick is sooooo good looking! He naturally looks out of place with anyone other than Ellen Pompeo! THey are the best couple on TV and both NY & CO videos are great! They seem like a real life couple to me! YOu can tell that they really care alot about each other! (on and off screen) Even in their interview with Oprah! He especially seems so protective of her, like the way he winked at her before the interview got started was soooo cute!

If anyone knows the story of Freedom Writers I suspect that the role Patrick Dempsey plays will not be one that viewers like. His character does not turn out as the hero.

Any movie with Patrick Dempsey in it is worth seeing. He is soo damn sexyy. I'm a little too young for him but still i'd tap that!!

he does look realy young in that 1st pic. i saw the movie and 4 those dempsey lovers--i highly reccomend it. Hes only in parts of the movie and not as much as swank but his acting is realy great and so is his part! and yes- they are married!

i liked freedom writers it is a good movie too teacher other kids how it use to be in the old days and it is based on a real story so u know it is going to be true.

this is a great film! you have to love this story. its good to see a positive story told on screen.
