Thanks Purplemerder and McBrookins for giving Burke fans some hope out here. I'll be more generous to the Burke haters when I know for sure he is still on the show. Right now it is just really hurtful to know anyone is wishing for the very thing that I am most afraid of happening.

OK, Burke Backer, let's try this scenario, maybe Hahn is going to replace Burke as the main Cardio Surg, in light of his recent appointment to Chief. But, honestly Burke will change from this experience, it's just a question of which way is he going to bend..I doubt he will be let go of, that would be a huge mistake, he is a thread, the kind you don't pull on or the whole sweater unravels.. So don't pull on the string!! Chow
I like that scenario, McBrookins. I agree, and as long as he is still on the show I will enjoy watching his character evolve.

another theory... maybe hahn will do the surgery while burke watches from the gallery.. she does indeed run into a problem, burke freaks because there is nothing he can do about it but hahn fixes it anyway... then it finally hits burke what he has really lost. respect. i agree mcbrookins though.. hahn is here for good i think that rivalry between burke and hahn will be fun to watch eg. 'you may have finished first in the class preston, but look whos head of cardio now'.. hehe.. so evil.
Well we were all kind of a little bit right. Burke helped duriing the crisis in the hospital room, but it was Cristina who learned the skills she needed by assisting Burke that came through in the operating room to help out Hahn. So both helped to save George's dad. I'm so glad that he didn't die. I can't be mad about anything tonight. Burke is still on the show. He was wonderful to George while his dad was going through the surgery, and that took courage to face George and compassion to stay with him while everyone else was with the cojoined twins, and to help him get through his dad's surgery. I loved that Burke realized every body responds differently to surgery and asked Derek to look at his shoulder again. I loved that Meredith got the other interns, other than George, to give Cristina a break. I love that the Chief got Bailey to understand how much the interns are learning from her even if they make mistakes. I loved that Cristina got on the elevator with Burke and Derek at the end. And, I love that Burke let her. That was the hope I was looking for to get through December.

For the haters, doesn't look like that's going to happen, so go hate somewhere else.
