P.S. It is unfortunate that the Internet, one of the greatest inventions of all time, provides cover to racist and sexist cowards. Those of you who condemn Chris and Ellen on the basis of race or "race-mixing" might have more credibility if you found a public platform from which to declaim. The whole race thing is really not supposed to be the topic here. The facts are really simple when it comes to racial issues in this country. Most of us do not care about race. Then there are a small percentage of every race and nationality among us that are racist towards others. These small groups (minorities themselves in the grand scheme of things) are obviously entitled to thier oppinions regardless of how fruitless and obsurd they may be.
With that being said, I'd like to ask what I consider to be a more compelling question. When did Chris Ivery become a celebrity? Ellen is obviously a talented actress and an accomplished celebrity.But I see alot of commentary lately about Chris being a celebrity.I can't seem to figure it out. Chris has taken on the title of " Record Producer". Has anyone ever seen an album credit that reads Chris Ivery? Can someone lead me to a link that indicates or documents any kind of record production whatsoever? If so, was it in this decade? Has anyone done any homework on this? With the exception of an episode on MTV's Punked, has he been on television before? I think his name was in the local newspaper in the early 90's, but I don't think it made him a celebrity. Nor would I think he want's people to read about it.
I'm all for the two of them being happy together. I also applaud Miss Ellen for breaking away from the traditional ways of Hollywood Dating. It's alway's the same old story, this Actor married that Actor, this Musician married that Director, this Football Player married that Pop Star. It's good to see a relationship that simply must be based purley on emotion.Way to go Ellen, marry for love.
The thing that bothers me about this now public relationship is the illusion of success that someone has tried to create for Chris Ivery. Was it the poorly done work of a bad publicist? The will of a nervous actress, concerned about her image? Or was it the desire of a man trying all he could do to maintain a relationship with a celebrity he's in love with? Maybe all of the above? But why the fassad?
No matter what the reason, it's somewhat disappointing,that someone tried to hide,in a way,the best thing about the whole relationship. She loves him, plain and simple. It does'nt matter that she's white and he's black.That he's tall and she's short. That she is at very least attractive and he is at best average, or that she is famous and he is not. There is nothing wrong with marrying outside of your tax bracket.
But as far as I can see Chris Ivery's biggest accomplishment thus far has been his engagement to Ellen Pompeo. If anyone has evidence to the contrary, please let me know.

Nothing makes me want to vomit more than seeing one of the savages of Africa attempt to legitimize himself by being with a white woman. It's intuitively repulsive to me, and it always will be. There are also millions of black women in the U.S. who are also angry because their men are rejecting them. Don: The ONLY way a negro can improve it's status is to lighten it's children through miscegenation. Some negroes are actually able to comprehend this fact and search out a caucasian.
