I watch the episode tonight with my mother and afterwards we called George O'Malley the machete. He was absolutely ruthless tonight and cut everyone down. I'm really glad to see George standing up for himself and not getting kicked around like in the past, but this new abrasive George isn't the George I love!
Nearly everything he said tonight cut deep.
"Did Dr. Stevens tell you the last time she was allowed to handle a patient someone died?"
"Cristina, why don't you tell Izzy why Burke isn't operating on my dad?"
"Oh is that why you slept with Sloan? Okay, that makes sense."

BUT, i think him saying those abrasive things, haha, was a way to blow off alot of steam from so many other times in his life that he probabaly never stood up for himself for.

On George & Callie: Callie had a guy that wouldn't say he loved her running off everytime another woman needed him. No she shouldn't have slept with Sloan but it was revenge sex and meaningless. George is scared and hurting so much right now he is lashing out at everyone. I'm holding out hope George will turn to Callie. If anything she's proven she could protect him if they jumped in a dark alley. LOL.
On Alex & Addison & Izzy: Wouldn't that just piss McSteamy off to see his errand boy with his love. Plus they would be hot together. Ultimately I want Alex and Izzy together but an Addison/Alex hook-up might be fun for awhile. Izzy needs time. You just don't get over a man like Denny. And hello cash the check already you are losing perfectly good interest.
On Meredith and Derek: Love the bedroom exchange. Plus Derek deserves to get zinged and reminded every once and awhile of what he did to Meredith.
Christina & Burke: Stick a fork in them they are DONE.
Hey shellie - the check gets cashed in January....there is one more episode in Nov and then none until January...and that episode is when she does something with the check.

This was the best show of the season and I think next weeks will be even better. If I had magical powers it would be Thursday already. Im really surprised Burke Backer hasn't posted a comment yet I always look for those. Isaiah and Sandra gave one of their best performances in this episode. I wasn't to happy with Burke but I think some people are to quick to count him out. He's a very important part of the show and I love to watch them. I am also wondering what Cristina said to the chief and what the chief said to Burke. I don't think I'll get over Burke slamming the door in Cristina's face until I know what was said. I am still a Mer/Der fan 100% and was very happy to see them enter act more. Meredith made a strong point when she said Cristina was there when he wasn't. I think Derek really realized at that moment what he did to her and how badly she was hurt. I just hope they leave them to be happy for a while a very long while. In next week promo Ellis looked extremely upset and it got me to wondering about that clinical trial Derek was trying to get her in for the chief. It's supose to help her have better days and so far it isn't happening. I know George is going through alot right now but I don't think he had the right to say that about Izzy and to bring up Denny. I do think he needs to give up on Callie of all the problems everyone has I never really see a reason for her's and I don't think George really loves her and never will. I am a little wishy washy when it comes to Alex and Addison. One minute I want to see them together and the next time I think it won't work out. I have finally decided I would like Mark to go away to me he really doesn't do anything for the show on a regular bases as a guest star yes but a regular no. But I will be the first to admit it depends on the episode because Shonda, the cast, and the crew do not make it dull. Makes me also wonder how CSI beat them by a bigger margin last week. is poplar as this show is I am also surprised more people don't comment. This is a great site to do that.

Hi Ashlynn, I have posted so many comments on this last episode that I think everyone is getting sick of me. I posted on the forum rather than on the round table. You are so right. Both Isaiah and Sandra were so awesome in this episode. They both broke my heart. On one of the earlier posts I shared my thinking about closing the door. Some people are so mad at him for that, but I really can completely understand it. I think he is as wounded by Cristina's betrayal and all that it may mean for his career as he was by the bullet. He needs time to heal. He can't talk about this right now. At least he didn't tell her to leave. I was afraid he would do that and Meredith would get still another roommate. I was happy for the Mer and Der fans, too. They were so cute during this episode. I also thought T.R. Knight was amazing. I don't like the mean George, but again it is understandable. Not only is his Dad in serious condition, but he can no longer trust the one man, his idol, who he counts on to save him. I have had such a hard time with this episode. Thursday night was just awful. I couldn't even watch it a second time. I couldn't even watch the kissing parts at the beginning a second time because the rest was so painful, so you know that was bad because I love their kissing parts. I came online and several other people were there too and it really helped to share all of the disappointment and frustration with others on greysanatomyinsider. Yesterday, I started to have a little hope again that maybe they will get through this. Kip Koenig on the writers forum said that couples get through things, even some betrayals, and sex helps. I am trying to believe that he was giving the Burke and Cristina fans a little bit of hope without giving away anything. Today, I may be able to watch the episode again, at least through the kissing parts. I agree that we need to know what was said by everyone, Cristina, Burke, the Chief. There is no doubt that what they did together was wrong and both need to have some kind of consequence. I just really hope the consequence is not their love for each other because they are my primary reason for being a fan even though I like the rest of the characters, too. I am wondering about Ellis Grey, too, and the study that Derek wanted her to participate in. I am sad for her that she is experiencing the loss of Richard all over again as if it were happening for the first time. That was so unfair of Richard. I know he was being kind, but she can't separate the past from the present. I agree about Sloan. They better do something quickly to make him likeable because right now he is just a jerk that anyone we care about should avoid. I am also wishy washy about Alex and Addison. I believe in my heart he belongs with Izzie and I like Addison too much for her to suffer another loss. Even Sloan betrayed her. I wish there was someone else for her to have a relationship with that is as meaningful as the ones between Derek and Meredith and Burke and Cristina. I must really hope that Burke and Cristina still have a relationship to be meaningful after the Thanksgiving episode.
I think george's life is getting complicated by the episode. First his girlfriend breaks up with him, then he found out a little secret on another surgen in the hospital, then his dad gets edmitted into the hospital and he finds out that his dad broak his clavical, and has cancer in his asophogus that spread to his stomach, AND his heart is irregular and needs it opporated on. His brothers are giving him a VERY hard time and his mother is trying to pry into his VERY, VERY personal life. SERIOUSLY!! I mean, it will be very hard to recover from this extreme intensety in his life.!!!
hey Jess-
Christina said at the end of the show:
" We do whatever it takes to rebuild the trust that was lost. And then there are some wounds, some betrayals that are some deep, so profound that there is no way to repair what was lost. And when that happens..there is nothing left to do..but wait."

OMally_girl don't worry about misspelling there are several of us that do it. Especially if Im wound up. Burke Backer I never get tired of you. You make alot of good points. I guess it's Burke and Cristina's turn this season. Derek and Meredith went through it last season. When you think about it everyone at Seattle Grace has a sorry love life. I never knew if I wanted to get mad or cry or both. Isaiah and Sandra deserve an emmy next year. Of course if it was up to me they all would after this show and probably next. I am also glad to see more of the OMalley family they do the part of a family really great. I am also one of those who won't be happy until I know what was said between Cristina and the Chief and Burke and the Chief. For some odd reason I feel like someone is going to wake up from a dream really more like a nightmare. I just kept watching it over and over again just to make sure I didn't miss anything. One last thing i'll take the extra time even if it was only 10 minutes longer.

Derek told Addison last Christmas that it makes you want to be with someone you love and him and Meredith are back together. I would be disappointed if there is not.
Thanks, Felicia. I don't know if I think it was a dream, or nightmare although her opening scene seemed to be. I guess it was just foreshadowing. The whole thing had to come out and I am relieved that it did as long as the writers find a way to repair the relationship between Burke and Cristina. Maybe the Chief will speak up for Burke kind of like Bailey did for Izzie. No one died. He said he never let her do anything that he didn't feel she could handle or that he couldn't step in if he needed to do it. As long as they don't remove Isaiah Washington from the show, I am confident that Burke will not be fired. He is too talented as a surgeon and there were too many extenuating circumstances. There should be some consequence for both Cristina and Burke, but nothing so severe that they won't remain at Seattle Grace. Maybe for Burke it will be losing out on being Chief. Isaiah didn't seem at all upset on the Oprah show, and these episodes would have already been filmed, so I can't think he was fired. I am less sure about how he and Cristina will resolve this and stay together. This whole storyline has been a weight on their relationship and up until now it has been able to sustain it. I am trying to remain hopeful.

Wow, It's been a couple of days an the episode still hasnt sunk it quite yet. I was watching some episodes from Season 2 (on DVD) and Burke and Christina shared some really happy moments and now it has all fallen apart. I cried during that episode.. well almost every episode which is weird because I never cry (haha like Christina). Wow you know, Izzie handled it pretty well with George and we can see that she is getting over Denny in a healthy fashion.
We can't blame George. He has been put under so much pressure lately with his Dad and his brothers and Callie and Meredith. He's at his breaking point and his mother really DID NOT help in that episode I dont blame him for being rude but wow shocker bringing in Dr. Han (sp?). Blow to Burke's everything.
So Dr. Han is gonna be in some episodes now, what if Han and Burke start something? I mean they have passionate hate and we all know what passion can turn into.
P.S. Alex and Addison... really?
oh and also i dont care how much of a slut he is, McStamy is so damn steamy.

Sorry, Justin. We continue to disagree. Isaiah Washington and Sandra Oh's performances last Thursday were worthy of emmy nominations. You simply dislike him too much for your own personal reasons to see the talent. In terms of their relationship, Cristina is not whole without Burke and vice versa. They need to be back together and both need to remain on the show for it to continue at the high quality that we are accustomed to seeing.

Those two stick together even during rough spots as we saw while they were in bed, but they worked through it as we do in life. This show has so much potential and then some from a fan who doesn't watch much tv, except GA. Keep up the great character building both personal and professional.

FANTASTIC EPISODE!!! Im sorry but george was REALLY making me mad! Usually i like him alot but not now. I can understand his stress, but to be so misunderstanding and rude is unacceptable. Happy that Christina turned Burke in. I hope he stays on the show but i think his chief days are long over. I really want the Addison Alex thing to work out! They look cute together!!!!

I am so mad at Christina. That must mean there's some damn good writing and equally great acting on the set at Grey's.
Christina really , betrayed him. He shared with her that he was going to confess to the chief; why did she have to beat him to it? This is the old selfish Christina....the minute things aren't to her advantage she's willing to take anyone down. I hope Burke moves on without her-

Intense episode. Kudos to all characters. Really like the build up between der/mer intimacy. Those two stick together even during rough spots as we saw while they were in bed, but they worked through it as we do in life. This show has so much potential and then some from a fan who doesn't watch much tv, except GA. Keep up the great character building both personal and professional.
