First of all I liked all the Mer/Der moments they were great especially when Derek was upset because Meredith didn't tell him what she knew. We got to see them from different perpectives. I like the way Izzy came to Meredith rescue when Callie tried to be stupid and attack her. Callie is always telling George to choose his words and it was Izzy this time telling it to Callie. I just don't think George and Callie belong together. I don't think George and Cristina will ever be the same either. A more out spoken Goerge I like but he over did it when he said what he did about Izzy and Denny to his parents. No matter how upset you are you just don't do that to your friends when they don't deserve it. It's really hard to put it into words about Burke and Cristina they are in this together one can not blame the other. It just seem Burke was being more of a jerk than he should have been. But we don't know what was actually said. I have a hard time seeing the chief stepping down. I would like to see where his and Ellis relationship could go. Just like Alex and Addison I wanted to see something there. I could see it in Addison but really didn't see it that much in Alex. He still has feelings for Izzy and there is still hope for them also. They really didn't seem to focus on Mark to much which didn't bother me in the least. I guess we wait til next week to see how things unfold even more. Things are really starting to heat up and it can only get better.

i feel so bad 4 george, hes terrified about loosing his dad, although, i dont like wat he sed about izzie and denny, a little rude i think!!!
Mer and Derek are realy heating up their relationship but i think der is going a wee bit too strong with being a SEX crazed maniac and all!!
I think preston will have too leave seattle grace hospital for a LONG while!!!
and i dont no how it will be w/out dr webber at the hospital!!!
also i think derek will take his place.
there was a little romance goin along with alex and addison, and i dont like it, hes saposed to be MINE!! haha
November 24th, 2006 2:41 PM
i think Addison will be cute...
November 24th, 2006 2:41 PM
i meant to say addison and alex will be cute ALEXISON!!!!!!!!!!!!
November 24th, 2006 3:48 PM
Wow, Addison and Alex had a MOMENT, it was the look..
George was so unbelieveably wrong to have said that to Izzie in front of his parents, Izzie looked so crushed, but in the end, she sat on the sofa with George and let it go..she has a beautiful character.Burke may have to resign his position and be re-evaluated by the chief for compentency. Boy, Christina really showed she wasn't a robot, I feel she did the right thing by telling the truth, but Burke really needed to be honest , instead of Christina. Bailey has really become one of my fav characters now, she really does have alot of compassion and has great rapport with her clients. Poor Torres , she is so in love with George.. Great episode!!!

The was a great episode!! I'm glade the tremors are over, and that Dr. Preston Burke is back. My heart wept for Burke and Cristina, especially at the end, but I'm glad that Cristina when back to the apartment and didn't run away. I truly believe they will find a way to fix the strain between them. I'm looking forward to more of their story.

I for one am happy that George said that to Izzy, it isn't like everyone wasn't thinking it. She deserved it, and if I were George, I would not apologize.

This is what i have been waiting to see all season! An intense show with sweet moments (mer/dar) as well as exciting ones (christina and burke.)i have to disagree with the other comments however who thought christina was right. I found that she was very wrong when she went to the cheif after burke told her several times he was fine and could handle the surgeries on his own. The tremmor was gone but she kept insisting that she needed to be there when she didn;t. It seemed to me that she was more concerned with getting to perform the surgeries then she was with burke and when he put his foot down again and told her to stop she went crying to the chief that burke wasn't okay. i felt she betrayed burke and if i were him, i would have done alot more then shut the door in her face. she would have been sleeping on the curb.
nevertheless, i loved this episode!

i disagree w/ the 'christina being wrong claw', i thought she was right in one way and wrong in another sence. i think she was right in a 'surgen to intern' way but wrong in the 'boyfriend to girlfriend' way.
I feel SOO bad for george and i think the meaness to izzie was just a way to blow off steam. im not saying it was right, im just saying, i wouldnt hold it against him. i mean, wouldnt u be the same way if your father was in the hopital for a heart opporation, your girlfriend broke up with you, you know a secret about a nother surgen that you cant share with anybody else, and your mother is trying to pry in your PERSONAL life, pretty drastic i think!!!
November 24th, 2006 7:30 PM
and to add to my previous message, 'SERIOUSLY'!!!
November 25th, 2006 12:55 AM
I watch the episode tonight with my mother and afterwards we called George O'Malley the machete. He was absolutely ruthless tonight and cut everyone down. I'm really glad to see George standing up for himself and not getting kicked around like in the past, but this new abrasive George isn't the George I love!
Nearly everything he said tonight cut deep.
"Did Dr. Stevens tell you the last time she was allowed to handle a patient someone died?"
"Cristina, why don't you tell Izzy why Burke isn't operating on my dad?"
"Oh is that why you slept with Sloan? Okay, that makes sense."
November 25th, 2006 9:56 AM
I do disagree w/ you OhMyOMally. And trust me, I LOVE OMally. George is my favorite, FAV-OR-ITE charactor on the show, he is SUCH a sweet-heart. BUT, i think him saying those abrasive things, haha, was a way to blow off alot of steam from so many other times in his life that he probabaly never stood up for himself for.
I still love MY, emphasis on MY, O'Mally!!!!
LOVE you George!!!!!

On George & Callie: Callie had a guy that wouldn't say he loved her running off everytime another woman needed him. No she shouldn't have slept with Sloan but it was revenge sex and meaningless. George is scared and hurting so much right now he is lashing out at everyone. I'm holding out hope George will turn to Callie. If anything she's proven she could protect him if they jumped in a dark alley. LOL.
On Alex & Addison & Izzy: Wouldn't that just piss McSteamy off to see his errand boy with his love. Plus they would be hot together. Ultimately I want Alex and Izzy together but an Addison/Alex hook-up might be fun for awhile. Izzy needs time. You just don't get over a man like Denny. And hello cash the check already you are losing perfectly good interest.
On Meredith and Derek: Love the bedroom exchange. Plus Derek deserves to get zinged and reminded every once and awhile of what he did to Meredith.
Christina & Burke: Stick a fork in them they are DONE.
November 25th, 2006 3:05 PM
Hey shellie - the check gets cashed in January....there is one more episode in Nov and then none until January...and that episode is when she does something with the check.

This was the best show of the season and I think next weeks will be even better. If I had magical powers it would be Thursday already. Im really surprised Burke Backer hasn't posted a comment yet I always look for those. Isaiah and Sandra gave one of their best performances in this episode. I wasn't to happy with Burke but I think some people are to quick to count him out. He's a very important part of the show and I love to watch them. I am also wondering what Cristina said to the chief and what the chief said to Burke. I don't think I'll get over Burke slamming the door in Cristina's face until I know what was said. I am still a Mer/Der fan 100% and was very happy to see them enter act more. Meredith made a strong point when she said Cristina was there when he wasn't. I think Derek really realized at that moment what he did to her and how badly she was hurt. I just hope they leave them to be happy for a while a very long while. In next week promo Ellis looked extremely upset and it got me to wondering about that clinical trial Derek was trying to get her in for the chief. It's supose to help her have better days and so far it isn't happening. I know George is going through alot right now but I don't think he had the right to say that about Izzy and to bring up Denny. I do think he needs to give up on Callie of all the problems everyone has I never really see a reason for her's and I don't think George really loves her and never will. I am a little wishy washy when it comes to Alex and Addison. One minute I want to see them together and the next time I think it won't work out. I have finally decided I would like Mark to go away to me he really doesn't do anything for the show on a regular bases as a guest star yes but a regular no. But I will be the first to admit it depends on the episode because Shonda, the cast, and the crew do not make it dull. Makes me also wonder how CSI beat them by a bigger margin last week. is poplar as this show is I am also surprised more people don't comment. This is a great site to do that.
November 25th, 2006 6:08 PM
Does anyone know the voiceover Cristina did at the end? I am been looking everywhere, and I really want it.
November 25th, 2006 6:19 PM
Hi Ashlynn, I have posted so many comments on this last episode that I think everyone is getting sick of me. I posted on the forum rather than on the round table. You are so right. Both Isaiah and Sandra were so awesome in this episode. They both broke my heart. On one of the earlier posts I shared my thinking about closing the door. Some people are so mad at him for that, but I really can completely understand it. I think he is as wounded by Cristina's betrayal and all that it may mean for his career as he was by the bullet. He needs time to heal. He can't talk about this right now. At least he didn't tell her to leave. I was afraid he would do that and Meredith would get still another roommate. I was happy for the Mer and Der fans, too. They were so cute during this episode. I also thought T.R. Knight was amazing. I don't like the mean George, but again it is understandable. Not only is his Dad in serious condition, but he can no longer trust the one man, his idol, who he counts on to save him. I have had such a hard time with this episode. Thursday night was just awful. I couldn't even watch it a second time. I couldn't even watch the kissing parts at the beginning a second time because the rest was so painful, so you know that was bad because I love their kissing parts. I came online and several other people were there too and it really helped to share all of the disappointment and frustration with others on greysanatomyinsider. Yesterday, I started to have a little hope again that maybe they will get through this. Kip Koenig on the writers forum said that couples get through things, even some betrayals, and sex helps. I am trying to believe that he was giving the Burke and Cristina fans a little bit of hope without giving away anything. Today, I may be able to watch the episode again, at least through the kissing parts. I agree that we need to know what was said by everyone, Cristina, Burke, the Chief. There is no doubt that what they did together was wrong and both need to have some kind of consequence. I just really hope the consequence is not their love for each other because they are my primary reason for being a fan even though I like the rest of the characters, too. I am wondering about Ellis Grey, too, and the study that Derek wanted her to participate in. I am sad for her that she is experiencing the loss of Richard all over again as if it were happening for the first time. That was so unfair of Richard. I know he was being kind, but she can't separate the past from the present. I agree about Sloan. They better do something quickly to make him likeable because right now he is just a jerk that anyone we care about should avoid. I am also wishy washy about Alex and Addison. I believe in my heart he belongs with Izzie and I like Addison too much for her to suffer another loss. Even Sloan betrayed her. I wish there was someone else for her to have a relationship with that is as meaningful as the ones between Derek and Meredith and Burke and Cristina. I must really hope that Burke and Cristina still have a relationship to be meaningful after the Thanksgiving episode.
November 25th, 2006 7:16 PM
I think george's life is getting complicated by the episode. First his girlfriend breaks up with him, then he found out a little secret on another surgen in the hospital, then his dad gets edmitted into the hospital and he finds out that his dad broak his clavical, and has cancer in his asophogus that spread to his stomach, AND his heart is irregular and needs it opporated on. His brothers are giving him a VERY hard time and his mother is trying to pry into his VERY, VERY personal life. SERIOUSLY!! I mean, it will be very hard to recover from this extreme intensety in his life.!!!
SORRY ABOUT THE MISSPELLINGS!!!!
November 25th, 2006 8:15 PM
hey Jess-
Christina said at the end of the show:
" We do whatever it takes to rebuild the trust that was lost. And then there are some wounds, some betrayals that are some deep, so profound that there is no way to repair what was lost. And when that happens..there is nothing left to do..but wait."
November 25th, 2006 8:23 PM
OMally_girl don't worry about misspelling there are several of us that do it. Especially if Im wound up. Burke Backer I never get tired of you. You make alot of good points. I guess it's Burke and Cristina's turn this season. Derek and Meredith went through it last season. When you think about it everyone at Seattle Grace has a sorry love life. I never knew if I wanted to get mad or cry or both. Isaiah and Sandra deserve an emmy next year. Of course if it was up to me they all would after this show and probably next. I am also glad to see more of the OMalley family they do the part of a family really great. I am also one of those who won't be happy until I know what was said between Cristina and the Chief and Burke and the Chief. For some odd reason I feel like someone is going to wake up from a dream really more like a nightmare. I just kept watching it over and over again just to make sure I didn't miss anything. One last thing i'll take the extra time even if it was only 10 minutes longer.
November 25th, 2006 8:36 PM
I don't usually comment because im not that good at it. I really like to read what others have to say. But I do know that I like the respect alot of you show for one another. But purplemerder are you sure there are no episodes for December. From what I've read there are 4 schedualed for then. I hope there is i am hoping for a really good Christmas one. Derek told Addison last Christmas that it makes you want to be with someone you love and him and Meredith are back together. I would be disappointed if there is not.
November 25th, 2006 10:00 PM
Thanks, Felicia. I don't know if I think it was a dream, or nightmare although her opening scene seemed to be. I guess it was just foreshadowing. The whole thing had to come out and I am relieved that it did as long as the writers find a way to repair the relationship between Burke and Cristina. Maybe the Chief will speak up for Burke kind of like Bailey did for Izzie. No one died. He said he never let her do anything that he didn't feel she could handle or that he couldn't step in if he needed to do it. As long as they don't remove Isaiah Washington from the show, I am confident that Burke will not be fired. He is too talented as a surgeon and there were too many extenuating circumstances. There should be some consequence for both Cristina and Burke, but nothing so severe that they won't remain at Seattle Grace. Maybe for Burke it will be losing out on being Chief. Isaiah didn't seem at all upset on the Oprah show, and these episodes would have already been filmed, so I can't think he was fired. I am less sure about how he and Cristina will resolve this and stay together. This whole storyline has been a weight on their relationship and up until now it has been able to sustain it. I am trying to remain hopeful.
November 25th, 2006 10:05 PM
Hey mrs. Fish - some of us really do respect on another... I wish we could all be respectful to each other...
about the the episodes....on the tvguide website it shows one more episode...that would be next week and then not another one...on one of the spoiler websites it shows the next one and then the others not to air until January.... you can check it out at www.spolerfix.com/grey.php
so that is why we are all assuming that there won't be any episodes in december...it sucks because like you said i really wanted to see a christmas episode with merder because of what he said last christmas... hey and it doesn't matter if you are good at posting or not just say how you feel...i know that we would love to hear what you have to say.
November 25th, 2006 10:10 PM
Hey burke backer- it will be okay i think they can all come back from this. if they had killed george's dad in the episode it might not be able to come back,, but it will be okay..they will work it out and be stronger for it.

First I owe purplrmerder an apology for questioning information before doing better research "SORRY". Now looking around the internet I found www.IMDb.com does have a repeat listed for 12/7 Something Of A Fantasy but for some reason they have one listed as airing 11/26 called Nobody's Fool and it sounds way off the mark at this point so this one seems to be misinformation. Now www.tv.com has 12/7 listed as Six Days being aired. So at this point all's I can say is that IM confused but that's what happens when you get into several different web sites. It's good to have a site like this to talk about our favorite show and get information. Something else I read was that season 2 had 27 episodes and season 3 is only going to have like 22 and that's a bummer. But if anybody has any more information I would like to hear it. Thanks everyone.
