well guys.. what an episode!!! Im sensing from the elevator scene cristina and burke are going to try and work it out, it may take some time, but i think they care enough for one another to try and keep what they have. Burke has done alot of thinking this episode, and i think the fact that he wants derek to look at his arm took alot of courage, i liked that he was nice to george through out the surgery. Derek and mark... they will definately never have the friendship they once had, but being civil is a good way to exist.

yes it was an awesome episode...i am so glad that the writers tied things up and didn't leave us hanging for the next 3 or 4 wks while we wait for another episode.

It is really great how quickly you get these round tables and forums up after an episode when everyone is brimming with things to say and no one to talk to. I loved tonight's episode because it kind of put things right for a lot of people, not all the way right, perhaps. But, on the road to being right.
It didn't occur to me before tonight that Burke was still angry with Derek about the surgery itself. I was thinking he was upset that Derek cleared him for surgery and thought that didn't make sense since Burke hadn't told him he had a tremor. Tonight it was clear he didn't think he did the surgery right to begin with. Then when Burke was in the scrub room with George helping him get through his father's surgery and he said Hahn had done everything right and you never know how a body will respond to surgery, it was clear he was accepting that it wasn't Derek's fault.
I'm glad Bailey was there to help Derek regain his confidence and that the Chief was there to help Miranda regain hers. I'm glad George's dad didn't die and that something good came out of the whole tremor thing in that Cristina had practice in doing the very thing that needed to be done.
Most of all, because I am Burke Backer and love them together, I was glad Cristina got on the elevator with Burke at the end to go find out what can be done about his hand. I know there wasn't much Mer Der time for their fans, but the smile at the end was killer. Lots of wonderful times ahead for Meredith and Derek.

I know! Thank you writers for giving them a chance. I know its gonna be a while before things are ok between Burktina but I love them together and am so happy they are being given another chance. It occured to me that maybe Burke will have another surgery on his hand and Cristina will then get a chance to make up for not being there last time? Too predictable, maybe but just a thought. Go Burktina!

No Mer/Der time and no new episode until Jan. "YUCK". But I was so happy Cristina got on the elevator with Burke it does give me hope they are going to be ok. I have had enough of the angry George and everyone being down on Cristina what happen to sticking together no matter what. I like the way Bailey helped Derek and the Chief helped Bailey. My husband was trying to get me going by saying they would probably make Mark chief. But in season 1 Burke said to Derek that Richard promised chief to both of them. As much as I like them both I said since season 1 that Burke deserved it. But here's my but as much as I like Burke with recent events I questioned if he really deserves it at this point but like I have said before I still have a hard time seeing Richard stepping down. I also truly believe he loves Ellis more than he loves Adele. What does he have to be afraid of. I have so much I want to comment on but due to time and space I'll leave it at this. So unless something major happens enjoy the reruns and talk to you when the new shows start up again. Merry Christmas and Have A Safe and Happy New Year.

Hey Burke Backer I think we can all breath a little easier. Cristina getting on the elevator is a very good sign. I think their trying to torcher us though. Making us wait til January is just cruel. I am guessing Jan. 4 this is worse than waiting for the season to start.

I know, Ashlynn H. and Bonnie M. I agree that it is a bummer not to have any new episodes until January, but I am so glad they didn't leave us believing Cristina and Burke were over or than anyone would leave the show for good. Now I can't wait for January to see what is going to happen. We got over a foot of snow last night and I am snowed in and can't go to work. It's a great day to work on Christmas cards and watch the GA DVDs. About being Chief, the Chief said again last night that he wanted Burke to do it and he wants his two million dollar hands fixed. When you think about it, both Cristina and Burke are so driven and would probably still be happy if Burke were Chief. It takes so much time away from the people you love, Derek and Meredith might not be as happy spending most of their life on the job. It might be better for both sets of relationships. Burke did a good job, even standing up for Derek, when he was Interim Chief while Richard was recovering from the brain surgery. None of this really matters though and will make good storylines either way. The only thing that really matters to me is that Derek and Meredith and Burke and Cristina stay together as couples. To me, they are the heart of the show.

I am glad that Cristina gets into the elevator. I hope they are fine and fight for their relationship, they are my couple. I also hope that Burke will recover soon.
