This week on the Round Table, Izzie stands outside, a Seattle hotel gets a lot of new business, Cristina tries to motivate a downtrodden Preston, and Meredith begs for better dates...
Plan the perfect date with Meredith.
McCritic: We'd go to whine country. Get it?!?
AwayWithMerDer: Me, at home, not on it. Meredith, at home, eating ice cream and whining.
iheartizzie: As Derek and Finn have shown us, Meredith enjoys everything from romantic dinners to walks in the woods to pony births, so you could go in a number of directions when planning the ideal date. The real way to this girl's heart, though, is through her liver. Tequila shots at Joe's, baby! Woooo!
Will Cristina's new, tough-love approach to Burke's physical therapy hasten or hinder his recovery?
iheartizzie: It can't hurt, as Preston certainly wasn't looking ultra-motivated last night. The guy needs someone to light a fire under his trembling arm. There's no telling how successful his PT will ultimately be, but at the very least, Cristina picked them up a three-month supply of chicken.
AwayWithMerDer: I think Cristina's got it right. Once so tough and strong, Burke has become a whiny, sniffling shell of a man. Cristina needs to whip him in shape and get him recovering in weeks. Come on Burke. Months? Years? How much patience do you think we have?
McCritic: Hasten. You don't baby Dr. Preston Burke. This is a man who accomplishes more by 6 a.m. every day than most people do in a month. He needs to be kept busy, to be pushed to the maximum, in order to realize his true potential. A Burke on the couch is a wasted, perfect human specimen.
Which of that hotel's four new residents -- Callie, Richard, Addison and Mark -- will stay the longest?
AwayWithMerDer: I see Addison and Mark buying a nice trailer together. Sure they may rich doctors, but nothing beats a home you can just drive away in. Right, McDreamy? Adele will come crawling back to Richard. Where else she going to find another man like him? He'll be back in his home in no time. That leaves Callie. The poor girl lived in the hospital for how long? I'm going to call her bluff of moving out in a week. They might as well start charging her monthly.
McCritic: Mark and Addison in a tie (or maybe handcuffs). Neither one of these sizzling singles is ready to face the real world. They'll delay such a step for as long as possible -- and seem to know how to enjoy themselves inside a hotel room as they do.
iheartizzie: Richard, as he'll be the last to run out of funds. Addison and Mark are attendings, while Callie is a lowly resident! The Chief is not only at the top of the surgical food chain, but in his prime earning years. He could buy that place.
Does Izzie have it in her to walk through those Seattle Grace doors, or will she stand outside for another couple of episodes?
McCritic: Izz, Denny wouldn't want you to waste your life standing in the Seattle rain. You have a choice now. You get to choose. The love of your life would want you to choose surgery. And celibacy.
AwayWithMerDer: Let's not forget how tough Izzie has proved to be in the past. The girl is from a trailer park! We need her back in there and starting her relationship with Karev back up. Sexy!
iheartizzie: It rains so frequently in Seattle that you have to think a cold, damp spell will force her to go inside one of these days.

I think Meredith deserves a great date with the man who she loves. Sarcasm annoying.
I hate Addison and her self-pity

The scene where Mer finds Addie in the storage closet, made a conection between them. Mer remembers vividly that feeling and has compassion for Addie. I don't think Addie is wallowing in self pity. She took one day to drowned her sorrows (literally) and make a "booty call" to Mark, and then she was back at work, where she has to face her husband of over 11 years and the woman whose panties she found in his pocket. Some women wouldn't make it out of bed for a month, especially with McSteamy there!

Can someone please post meredith's speech at the end of "Sometimes a Fantasy" episode?

Hello miss, I'm not sure if you're the same poster, but tonight after work I'll transcribe the ending speech by Meredith. I don't think she actually deserves to be treated like a lady, but it was a heckuva speech!!

I guess I'm a little confussed. Mer was crushed when Derek took his wife back and was very much in love with him and Derek recently confessed that he was in love with her.Mer didn't really date Finn for very long and if you watch the show closely, she never slept with him and she never fell in love with him or where exactly does he fit in as actually competition? He is really good looking and he's a great guy but I don't understand what Mer's choice is based on? She is in love with one man and not the other, what is there to decide?
Second off, the previews for next week give the impression that mer is pregnant. The last show of last season gave the impression that Mer had never slept with Finn, then Denny died and she decided to date them both. She then told christina that she wasn't sleeping with them until she picked one. Last night we witnessed them going on their first dates. How can she be confused as to who the babies dad is (if she is pregnant) when apparently, she never even slept with Finn.

people addison needs to get over herself how can she blame meredith for wanting to be with who she loves, her marriage was probably over with or without prom night i mean mcsteamy was willing to fly in from new york for a one night stand she obviously won't be lonely for long she should go back to new york and leave merder to make amazingly sexy talented surgeon babies

I don't think she is pregnant. I think it will turn out to be something else. But why not have a good pregnancy scare first. If she is by chance it would most likely be Derek's. Because she hasn't slept with Finn. Poor George didn't even get to finish. Thank goodness for that one. That only one left is Steve and I hope they don't go there. Most people want Mer/Der together anyway so I do think a pregnancy for them is still a long ways down the road.

So, how about instead of attempting to be witty, you guys actually give us something to think about? These round table discussions are rarely enlightening and border on the annoying... I question why you all so faithfully watch a show whose main character you seem to despise so much. AwayWithMerDer, while your screenname says it all, you described not one, but TWO characters as "whiny" ...if you're so intent on being negative, could you at least thumb through a thesaurus and mix it up for us?
The rest of the site is great. This is probably the least entertaining feature.

Response to Amy-
Meredith spent much of Season Two trying to get over Derek ("fixing what he broke," as she put it). He hurt her pretty badly and never admitted that he loved her, so she had little encouragement to remain emotionally attached to him. He chose Addison and so she eventually chose to move on. It was a big step for her to date Finn, and she obviously really likes him - she specifically didn't want to sleep with him so that she didn't mess things up.
So while she's not in love with Finn, he's never done anything to hurt her. And while she used to love Derek, she's been trying really hard to move past him, and she can't quite forget what he did to her before. Hence, dilemma.
And besides, dating is fun. And it comes with snacks. Who would pass that up?

Ah Beth, y'know, just because you like the 'main' character, please don't attempt to play the 'reasonable' card with people who find other characters quite as 'main'. This is an ensemble cast.
Many shows would kill to have a controversial main character that has as many people hating her as liking her, so while this may annoy you, I promise that the writers and hte advertisers would find this 'round table' discussion oh so delightful.
As for your not being entertained by this discussion perhaps what you want instead is a straight out Meredith support site. There you will find no one to disagree with you and it appears that that is what you are seeking.
This show is an absolute delight to me and a surprise to me. I came on board because I'm a Patrick Dempsey fan and after the first episode of Addison I loathed her. Imagine my surprise to find writers so talented that they made an unsympathetic Addison totally appealing and somehow made me, a Dempsey fan, completely uninterested in his and Meredith's romance. Cristina, Burke, Miranda, Alex, Richard and McSteamy are all captivating and despite my dislike of the 'main' storyline this is still the only program that I am watching at present.
Kudos to the writer and you have my full sympathy if you want to only read Meredith supportive posts because I do not believe that many see this site for only that purpose. Despite this I hope you continue to enjoy the rest of the site.
