New McCharacter Ready to Ruffle Feathers On the Grey's Anatomy Set
The Insider has learned that McDreamy, McSteamy and McVet are about to get some competition from another studly character.
That's right, a new hunk is joining the cast of Grey’s Anatomy in January. Although the character’s name is Ronald, he’ll be referred to by women on the popular nighttime soap as "McDonald."
McDonald sports bright red hair and a pale complexion, and will be hired by Dr. Webber as Seattle Grace's newest cardio-thoracic surgeon. He will give McDreamy and McSteamy a run for their money, but primarily because of his sense of humor.
"McDonald isn’t traditionally good looking, but he’s really funny and he’s great with kids, which are very sexy qualities to a lot of women," said creator Shonda Rhimes. "McSteamy and McDreamy will dismiss Ronald as a ‘clown’ at first, but they’ll soon learn he’s serious competition for the attention of the women at Grace Hospital."

I can't figure out if this is supposed to be a joke? Any why would they wait until January to get another cardio-thoracis surgeon if Burke can't operate?

Why does Seattle Grace need a new cardio-thoracic surgeon???? Please don't tell me Dr. Burke will not be filling that role in January. This had better be a joke! Burke is the reason I watch and I want him to be back to his full confident self by November, let alone January.
