Isaiah is a wonderful actor who made a mistake and I'm so tired of the rest of the world acting like they've never made one. Furthermore we've all made derogatory comments about others, especially in the work place. I am so over this issue. The media is really running this in the mud, but they've seemed to forgotten about the Kramer situation. I am not sure that you are doing yourself any service by meeting with GLSEN. Your meeting and agreeing indicates an acceptence and further condoning of the behavior and lifestyle put forth by this group and its members.
Tolerance and acceptence are two separate positions. We can be tolerent in our silence, we can only be acceptent by overt action of complicity, condonemnt and promotion.
If it is your position to promote the acceptence of the behavior that these groups put forth, then continue on with the public overtures that are being stated in the press (that you will oblige).
It is amazing to me that, as a black man, it is consistently impressed that because you can speak well, make a simple presentation of dignity with pride, and do not present yourself as sterotype of pop fashion and trends, that you are automatically deemed as some category of not "normal". Dignified black men should be the role mode. Our generation of children need many black men of stature to stand up and say "While this diversity exist in our societies today, and we are tolerent, I for one (me) am not accepting of these alternative lifestyles, neither am I condoning the promotion of same."
This is not anti-gay, but it is "pro" me and my choices. By the way which should be equally tolerated in our society.

I sure do wish they hadnt fired this man. I may not even watch Grey's anymore because of it. I hear he is doing a series for NBC. I hope it airs at the same time as that Kate Walsh spinoff (ripoff). When I first heard the story I was quick to take the sides of the obviously right. Which mean every one that wasn't black. Imagine that I believed subconsciously based on skin color that Isaiah was wrong and the trouble maker. I stated over and over again that Isaiah should be fired. But in actually no one knew both sides of the story and only now we are hearing the other side, after the fact. I think ABC should have done an internal investigation and got to the bottom of the situation. They should have then issued a statement to appease the public. It is possible that there were problems on the set.
Cause now hearing Isaiah side of the story I don't think that he should have been fired. But that's always a quick and easy solution.
