Round Table Discussion: Damage Case

This week on the Round Table, McDreamy McFreaks over McVet, Burke's future with Cristina is debated, and Dr. Torres' hygiene is called into question...

Do you think Calli really washed her hands?Dr. Torres

McCritic: Of any sort of bathroom residue? Probably. Of the insecure notion that she was being judged by two of our heroines? No way. Like a seventh grade girl who wore a clashing scarf and sweater to school, Calli is sitting alone at the metaphorical hospital lunch table. Bring her some tater tots and always offer to carry her Trapper Keeper, George.

iheartizzie: I doubt it, and there's nothing wrong with that. It's just not important at 6 a.m. when you're gonna shower later anyway. In my household, we strictly adhere to the unofficial policy of "Number One, You're All Done; Number Two, Wash 'Em, You!"

Married-to-McDreamy: Not a chance. Her story definitely doesn't hold water, if you will. She says that she was embarrassed about running into Meredith and Izzie in the bathroom and because of that, she waited to wash her hands until she left and was in the kitchen. However, if she really was that embarrassed, why would she proceed with going to the bathroom after noticing them in there? Very suspicious indeed.

Who won the Mer/Der fight in the stairwell?

iheartizzie: Mer takes this one in a landslide. Just because McD's hair is one of the wonders of the modern world does not give him license to pass judgment upon his former lover. He never mentioned to Meredith that he was, how shall we say this... married. Then he dumped her when his wife appeared in Seattle. How do you expect Mer to react? And is she even sleeping around? She and McVet hadn't even kissed at that point, while the George incident -- for which she received 106 percent of the blame -- was initiated by Dr. O'Malley during Mer's peak vulnerability. Derek was out of line. She let him know. Game, set, match, Dr. Grey!

Married-to-McDreamy: As much as I would like to say Meredith won the fight, as it was nice to finally see her get a backbone, I have to side with McDreamy on this one. Despite Mer's tirade, he still had the last word and called the shots by saying that they were done.

McCritic: Derek came out swinging with his whorish accusations and condescending contempt, but Meredith withstood this early flurry and delivered the ultimate knockout blow: a direct order (he doesn't get to call her that!) followed by a stern, rational guilt trip (he did, indeed, break her). Before Derek calls this kettle loose again, he may wish to take a look at the promiscuous pot lying next to him in bed each night.

So Meredith is scary and damaged. Pick another character and describe him/her in two words.

Married-to-McDreamy: Calli Torres: Unclean and homeless. (What a catch!)

McCritic: Preston Burke: Puurrrr. Fect.

iheartizzie: George O'Malley. Bad. Hair.

Will Dr. Burke and Cristina break up in the season finale?

iheartizzie: Exasperating, messy and emotionally-challenged as Cristina may be, Preston loves her dearly. A technically proficienct brainiac is his ideal match, while Cristina looks up to his professionalism and drive. Unless Dr. Burke has an estranged wife back in New York who we don't know about, and she mysteriously shows up in Seattle next week, it's Drs. Burke & Yanghard to see something driving them apart.

Married-to-McDreamy: Married-to-McDreamy certainly hopes not. Despite their obvious differences and newfound problems in the bedroom, Burke and Cristina compliment each other and without their bizarre banter, the hallways of Seattle Grace just wouldn't be the same.

McCritic: As we learned last week, Burke isn't a a natural talent. He had to practice and work his way to the top. If all those years of Tantric dedication result in a partner who can't even remain awake to appreciate such sexual skills, it's time for him to move on. Find someone else, Preston. Then, when the series climaxes next week, maybe you will, too.

nooo! oh god i hope they don't break up. that would just kill me.:,(

  2. Tom Says:

I normally despise Mer but I gotta say Der had no right to treat her like that. As if it is his business or he really knows whats going on.

  3. Steph Says:

U don't wash hands after #1? That is str8 up gross.

  4. Erish Says:

If it were really over for Derek and Meredith, he wouldn't be so angry.

  5. Harris Feldman Says:

Seriously, i never wash my hands...you should all check yourselves in the mirror and take a good hard look. Not washing your hands is a sign of confidence, character, and hepititas A. Nothing more need be said.
Anyways, McMurphy definitely is a hobbit who is the catcher in the relationship...didn't Calli (a.k.a. Erl) stand up to pee? just wondering...on my Tivo i actually saw the stream in slow motion. I think Gray was fantasizing about Erl's girth.
Anyways in regards to Mcdreamy vs. coked out Grey...the winner is............................the writers! those glorious heroes who have been able to maintain a steady growing fan base derived from a hybrid storyline of Beverly Hills 90210 and the game Operation.
Anyways i have been requested to continue posting a blurb each day leading up to the next episode...and although i never watch the show i am able to discover the wild world of gray through your petty squabble. oh yeah, is it Grey's anatomy or Gray's anatomy...So i look forward to addressing you all leading up to the upcoming season...so stay tuned to Greysanatomyinsider.com
P.S. Addison would definitely win in a mud fight...and gloriously conquer my Hep A donated by Matt Keils sanitary cooking.

The only thing that would have made the whole Meridith/Derek fight scene even more satisfying than Meridith's striking defeat over Derek ( she did actually have the last words) would have been having Addison secretly witness Derek's obvious torment over the state of affairs (pun intended) between him and Meridith. He is there giving it as well as getting it over and over with Meridith, because for him, therre is something to fight for. Recall his blatant, cintinuing indifference when it came to Addison's betrayal. He has never wanted to fight about that. The big bedroom bandaid they put on their relationship has got to be experiencing the loss of stickiness, and soon to the extent that they will have to tear it off permanantly or reapply a new one and continue the facade their marriage hsa become.

  7. Dunn with Der Says:

i heart izzie is so right. der had no right to accuse mer of anything after he ended it between them. plus mcvet is so cute!!!!!!!!!!

  8. Pigyyy Says:

I was really upset after I watched the fight.
But I think I'm on Meredith's side. Remember the first season that she begged Derek to pick her, but he didn't, he chose Addsion. He gave her up, so there's nothing to do with him how she's goona live. And as long as he himself sleeping with Addsion, he has no right to accuse Meredith for sleeping around.
But actually, I think he got so mad just because he still in love with Meredith.

  9. Aubz Says:

You i love derek, but i do agree he should of never said those things to Merideth, i wish that right at the end of the conversation, she should of said, something, "oh and by the way finn and and i didn't have sex!"

  10. Aubz Says:

Oh and about callie, u know i don't know how i feel about her. I do think george needs somebody, and they even our kind of cute together, but she's just kind of weird, and there is something eles about her that i just can't stand, and i don't even know what it is. She just bugs me.

  11. T.A.S Says:

    1. i don't care cuz she ain't my doc.
    2. Meredith so won that fight!!!
    3. Finn- Lovable, Huggable.
    4. i doubbt they will break up but i think that they might take a break or something.

  12. Chloe Says:

i SOOOOOOOOOO agree with Pigyyy! he had no right!
He dumped her! She has the right to get over him the way she wants to! But on the other hand i agree with George. He said that she keeps sleeping with all these men to get over Derek but she is not getting over him, and neither is he!

  13. Gwen Says:

OMG 2nights show was soooooo good. I was on the edge of my couch I have got to get someone to chat with after each episode so that my neighbors won't think I'm going crazy yelling and talking to the TV.

Izzie has put her career on the line and has brought George in on it. Addison said what many of us already must know....The only people that doesn't know Derek and Meredith love each other is Derek and Meredith

  14. Gwen Says:

The very debonair, very handsome Preston (first name basis) has got to recover from the gunshot as we know he will. He's one of the stars. Christina will feel an emotion that she has never felt b4. I think Izzie has ruined her career and besides she has fallen for her patient and even worse she has defyed Dr. Bailey....The Nazi. Addison is great and I hope she stays with the show but finally she realizes she has got to go. And what about Dr. Finn. He is so cute and innocent, just caught in the middle of Meredith's love sick, never ending emotional roller coaster and has no idea he's just along for the ride. When Meredith said "I love him so much" she sure was not talking about the dog. Poor Doc. Hope he lives.

  15. Kristin Says:

Wow. tonights show was absolutely incredible. I can't wait for tomorrow nights conclusion.

First of all, Izzie is so stupid! I can't believe she brought George into this, and is risking her career, and Denny's life.
Secondly, Meredith and Derek are so utterly in love that it hurts. I used to hate Addison, but after tonight I've found a new love for her. That love doesn't stop me from longing for McDreamy and Mer to get together.
Lastly, BURKE!!! :( What a shocking ending. I can't wait to see where this goes, and what happens between him and Cristina.

    Tomorrow should be amazing! :)

  16. burkecristina Says:

Even though Cristina is emotionally and commitment-challenged, Burke is making feel things that she has never felt before. She is becoming a "person". It's scary for her, but she's falling so much in love with him, that's she ready to take that chance and let her guard down.

  17. Sher Says:

i think callie should be more embarassed she walked into that bathroom in a house that she doesn't even live in only wearing her panties. Of course izzy and mer are talking about her. who does that? she was too embarassed to stay and wash her hands, but not too embarassed to pee stark naked in front of her coworkers at their house? ooookay...

  18. Mel Says:

Callie Washed her hands, as she said, she went into the kitchen. Mer was blocking the sink. As funny as it was Mer n Izzie were acting like bitchy 7th graders.

Mer certainly put Derek in his place in telling him he has no right to call her a whore. She told him straight that she's not sorry for the way she repaired what he broke and fair enough! McDreamy was v harsh on the Alex comment, and he has no right to call her a whore, or even b jealous as he left her! Mer made the best argument, although i can't help but thinking Dreamy didn't do 2 badly as he told her it was over. Mer finished it up with the last word, saving herself wen she added "It is!" so mer all the way!

No way, they are made for each other, as much as they have those ups and downs thats what makes them Christina and Bourke and Christina will stand be him all the way!

  19. Burke Backer Says:

I like Callie and believe that she went into the kitchen to wash her hands because there wasn't room for her to do it in the bathroom.
Cristina and Burke are perfect together. I think it scared her to death to realize how much he mattered to her. I was disappointed in her when he really needed her and she couldn't be there for him. Since I am writing this late, I know that she comes to be with him during the "prom", but I still don't know how this original reaction will affect their relationship in the long run. But, I think he will understand and it will bring them closer.

  20. Burke Backer Says:

    Preston Burke: Hot and Hunky
    Cristina Yang: Driven and Competitive
    Derek Shepherd: Trapped and Yearning
    Izzie Stevens: Passionate and Out-of-Control
Alex Karev: Dark and Dangerous (in an interesting and good way)
    Meridith Grey: Brilliant and Needy
    George O'Malley: Lovesick and Honorable
Addison Montgomery Shepherd: Repentent and Trying (in both senses of the word)
    Callie Torres: Hopeful and Lonely
    Mark McSteamy: Sexy and Sinful
Finn McVet: Handsome and too late
