What About Grey's Anatomy This Week?

What About Getting Axed?We have good news and bad news.

Let's get the bad out of the way first. This Sunday, ABC is supplanting Grey's Anatomy with new romantic drama What About Brian. Gag. Have you seen the previews for this show? It looks cheese-tastic and not all that original, although the involvement of executive producer J.J. Abrams (of Lost, Felicity, and Alias) warrants some optimism. What About Brian stars Barry Watson as a 34-year old bachelor who's had a tough go of it with romance, while his friends (three couples) have all paired up. Now sure about Brian's prospects for love or ratings, but we'll have to wait and see.

Now for the good news. Grey's Anatomy will reclaim its time slot a week later, April 23, while Brian and his friends move to Monday. ABC lists an episode entitled "Under Pressure" on its schedule for the Sunday after next. Phew! We certainly didn't want to wait until April 30. So the question is, who's under pressure and for what? Some possibilities:

  • Meredith -- to quit whining.
  • Alex -- to quit being an ass.
  • George -- to get married (by Calli).
  • Denny -- by constricting blood vessels in his chest.

While we really like these ideas, we have been informed by a devoted fan that the episode will be a "recap" episode, akin to the "Straight From the Heart" special from earlier this season. A little disappointing but better than nothing. Feel free to comment with your thoughts just the same. Or, at the very least, take part on our poll (on the right), or our Caption Contest!
