Alex may not wish to read a recent article in The Seattle Times. It profiles the actor behind Denny, a man waiting for a heart transplant that has captured the interest of Izzie.
Sandy Thomas, from Kirkland, has been a fan since the show hit the airways. She now has a very good reason to continue to turn in every night at 10 p.m.: her favorite actor, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, has a recurring role. Of course, Morgan also happens to be Thomas' son.
In addition to the Grey's Anatomy role, her son has a recurring part in another television show, Supernatural.
Morgan is a local. He went to Ben Franklin Elementary School, Rose Hill Junior High and was a 1984 graduate of Lake Washington High School.
"He didn't grow up wanting to be an actor," Thomas said. "He wanted to be a basketball star."
Instead, he went into acting and has a long list of television and movie credits. The surest sign of success in his chosen field?
"I haven't had to send him a check in years," Thomas said.

Hey!! I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE DENNY!!! They have to keep him he rocks a lot!! lol I love him he is sooo sweet and funny and he looks ALOT like George Clooney!! Does anyone else think so or is it just me?? Likke a younger George Clooney...oh well, well I think he does and I think he is pretty hot!! I couldn't bear it if something bad happens to Denny --- He needs to have a recurring role on Grey's Anatomy forever!!! I can't believe I haven't seen him in anything before this --- The man has it all!!!!!!!!!!

Denny has to live! He's perfect and he adds so much to the show. I love him and Izzie together. I am more interested in them now than I am Meredith and Derek.

Now that Denny is gone.....couldn't he come back as the twin brother that he never mentioned??? The show is great in itself, but Denny really added to it!!!!

WOW. I thought he was gonna live. I am VERY dissapointed myself! What a shame. Izzy and Denny were my favorite on the show. Write in a miracle or something and bring him back lol. He's my McDreamy lol. Greys is still a wonderful show and I will still be a fan but it wont be the same without Denny!!!
